Lets talk about Eliora

Hey Berries!

We’ve recently came a crossed the name [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] and really like it! It doesn’t seem popular and is a nice alternative to names like [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]; names we love but think are getting too popular.

So our questions are:

  1. Your initial impression of [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]
  2. Have you met one before
  3. Middle names you think would flow nicely with [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]… surname is [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]

Thanks so much! Excited to see the responses!

Is it pronounced like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-or-a. I think it’s pretty and very unique but it has one too many vowels for me. I prefer the flow of [name_f]Elora[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. I work with a little girl named [name_f]Elora[/name_f] and I think it’s such a pretty name. I’ve never met an [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]

I haven’t met an [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], and it would be refreshing after all the Emmas and Isabellas every where.
I also love [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. For middles I’d say
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

I also prefer just [name_f]Elora[/name_f].

[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] = elly-ora or el-ee-or-ah or el-yora?
Not intuitive.

[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] is pretty; the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] seems inevitable, not sure if this is a pro or a con to you.

I have never met one, but would love meeting a little [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]. I personally find it a bit frilly and prefer [name_f]Elora[/name_f] or [name_f]Liora[/name_f].

[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

I agree with this.

I’ve honestly been eyeing [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] for quite some time, unfortunately I can’t use it since it’s too different in style with my firstborn’s name
Never met an [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] before so I think it’s refreshing

[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
Basicaly I’d propose single syllable middles to go with this name

Nickname [name_f]Elle[/name_f] would be lovely

I’ve never met an [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] before and I think the name is pretty.
NN ideas: [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lora[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Liora[/name_f]

[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_u]Josie[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]

I’ve met one and she goes by [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. When I first heard her full name I thought it was [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], so there’s potential for a mix up there because they’re so similar.
