This is a bit funny since my parents call my son [name_m]Archie[/name_m] for short! (at home we use his full name and nickname pretty interchangeably.) Ivthink you are right though, when a name is on someone you love it grows on you.
Sidenote I think [name_m]Archer[/name_m] successfully dodges [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as a nn unless parents promote other’s tovuse it.
What a beautiful name! I’ve never come across it before, and had no idea how to pronounce it when I read the thread title. But now I know. And it sounds so musical and lovely. I don’t know how usable it is, and I’d be shocked to see it getting any use (especially as a first, but makes for a very brave middle!) just because of how it looks. Other goddess names look pretty and somewhat easier to pronounce, but Mnemosyne doesn’t. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if it does sound lovely.
