[name_f]Liberty[/name_f] has started growing on me, it’s one of those names I like and has meaning for us, but I can’t imagine in the first name spot. My partner is American so it obviously holds some of those 4th [name_u]July[/name_u]-ish feels.
What do you think of it as a middle name? I think I’d probably use one of my favourite -a ending first names like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or something. Thoughts?
I think [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is totally fine as a middle name and I think it would work well with many first names ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it with [name_f]Ada[/name_f])! I think it would be “too cliche” if you were to use [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or [name_u]Justice[/name_u] [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] or something like that, but you’re totally fine here
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: By the way, I’m American, if that makes any difference.
I guess I’m in the minority in thinking [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is way too heavy-handed and cheesy, like the names [name_f]Trinity[/name_f], [name_u]Justice[/name_u], [name_f]Journey[/name_f], [name_f]Chastity[/name_f], etc.
I think it works fine! I actually know a girl named [name_f]Liberty[/name_f], although she goes by [name_f]Libby[/name_f]. [name_f]Imo[/name_f], [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] feels much more like [name_f]Indie[/name_f] than it feels like [name_f]Chastity[/name_f].
Anyway, it is a great middle… it has meaning, like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Hope[/name_f], but it not a traditional filler name. Go for it
I really like [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] as a middle or a first name. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is darling, I’ve always found [name_f]Ada[/name_f] quite prim and proper (in a nice way) so [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] lightens it up a bit .
There’s a western called “The [name_m]Man[/name_m] Who Shot [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] Valance”, my maiden name is similar in pronunciation to the surname…so my name was almost [name_f]Liberty[/name_f]. It’s cool. Go for it.
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is a neat name. If it feels too weird, you can always go with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] to get the point across.
