Which do you prefer for my baby girl due very soon.
[name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (nn “[name_f]Libby[/name_f]” and “[name_f]Birdie[/name_f]”)
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (nn “[name_f]Sadie[/name_f])
I love both and probably will wait to see her to decide but just wanted to hear thoughts. I also know that one is very unique and the other is classic. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is a [name_f]Marine[/name_f], hence the patriotic name [name_f]Liberty[/name_f]. We call her [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] right now but would most likely call her “[name_f]Libby[/name_f]” when here. I also love the name [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. Last name is Jaybin. Big sisters [name_f]Alaina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] only concern is choosing a name that she will love when older as well.
With the sisters, I think I would choose [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] (which is lovely). It matches the more feminine, understated theme. [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is also a brave choice for a first name; I think [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is a safer bet for a name that will grow with her. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is a cute nickname!
I love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] for you so I choose [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]! [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] isn’t bad, but if your main criteria is choosing a name she will love when she’s older, then I think a classic with a spunky nickname is a safer bet than a more daring word name.
I wonder if you considered [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] since it can easily have the nicknames [name_f]Libby[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] but is more traditional like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]…
I would go with [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], it pairs better with [name_f]Alaina[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and sounds less patriotic (not that it’s a bad thing, just not very worldly). I love the nickname [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], it’s so sweet, especially with the traditional full name of [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
xx
I think [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] fits better with your other kids’ names and is less likely to feel “weird” when she is older. You could also just use [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. I’m personally not a fan of Sadie, but that’s a personal thing.
I also liked the other suggestion of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] if you are open to considering more names. It’s a classic that would fit well with your other names and has a lot of nickname potential.
I actually know a girl called [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] and it suits her, it’s getting more popular now it seems, I’m sure some celebrity just named her daughter [name_f]Liberty[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is lovely, but you can’t go wrong with either option. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] does fit better with big sisters names though!
But [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is fun! And I love [name_f]Libby[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] as nns. Plus [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], what a righteous name!
I like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] a lot. And I especially love the nn [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. The whole situation is just sweet, smart & classic. Perfect w/Alaina & [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], & sounds good w/your ln. [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] just doesn’t do it for me. It has a great meaning, but is just one of those words that I’m not ready to accept as a name personally. It doesn’t flow as well w/your ln either, because of the repeats of ‘b’ sounds. I think it’s hard to picture a [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] who isn’t a somewhat eccentric personality. If your little girl grows up to be more on the reserved side, she may not like having such a peppy name. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] & [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] I think mold better to any personality.
Yes I have! That is definitely a possibility. I love those 2 nicknames so much and love that [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a safer option than [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] in case she grows out of those nicknames one day.
Both are really lovely names. Of course [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is the “safe” choice. I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is a really cute nickname, and her name would fit with her sisters style.
But [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] has something pretty cool! [name_f]Libby[/name_f] is lovely
