Okay so we are expecting #3 soon (don’t know gender) and we have a few solid girl loves. We already have a son and daughter (both Irish names, seven letters, ending in “n”). Looking for uncommon names but nothing too out there.
Here are some of our likes:
[name]Lincoln[/name], [name]Trenton[/name], [name]Jameson[/name], [name]Kasen[/name], [name]Lyndon[/name], [name]Creighton[/name], [name]Layton[/name], [name]Taurean[/name] (pronounced Tar-in), [name]Quinten[/name], Treyson, [name]Emerson[/name]
I know all these end in “n” but that’s not a requirement, just seems to be the sound we prefer. I’m totally open to any all suggestions comments.
We love [name]Jackson[/name] but it’s a little too common and we have a family member w/ that name.
Was really digging the Treyson name (being that it is our third and we could do the “[name]Trey[/name]” nickname), but everyone I know has poo-pooed it. Any other “[name]Trey[/name]” names?
The middle name is a family name (starts with M) and our last name is one syllable and it is VERY common.
Any insight is greatly appreciated. Have a happy day!
I like [name]Quinten[/name], [name]Taurean[/name], and Treyson. The problem with the spelling of [name]Taurean[/name] being pronounce tar-in is that I would have pronounced it Tar-ee-an.
I don’t mind Treyson, but you could just name him [name]Trey[/name] also if you’d like. I went to high school with a [name]Trey[/name]. You could also use [name]Trevor[/name] nn [name]Trey[/name].
I actually like [name]Treyton[/name], [name]Trenton[/name], and Trennen. These are definitely possibilties. I like [name]Trevor[/name] as well, but since our last name is SO common, I was trying to be a little unique with the first name. [name]Will[/name] run these by the hubby to get his take.
Your comments and suggestions are most appreciated!
[name]Taurean[/name]… without the explanation I would have said it like the Astrology sign “[name]Taurus[/name]” so I would have said it as [name]Tor[/name]-ian.
Have a relative called [name]Trent[/name]- seems an OK name.

I’ve been trying to name my son [name]Trenton[/name] for weeks!! My boyfriend can’t stand the name! So to work something out with him, I started coming up with names as close as possible to [name]Trenton[/name]. Like, [name]Preston[/name] and even [name]Brenton[/name] (nn [name]Brent[/name]). I even began to impress him with the varieties to spell [name]Trenton[/name]; [name]Trentin[/name], [name]Trentyn[/name], Trynton, whatever you can come up with! I even like [name]Trevor[/name] as a possibility. Same as for [name]Preston[/name]; [name]Prestyn[/name], Prestlie, Prestlyn (maybe too girly).
Unfortunitly, my boyfriend still hasn’t come around, so in roughly 15 weeks, we will be having our son [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Anthony[/name].
Anyway, it’s a beautiful name, go for it!
I’m originally from [name]Texas[/name] and there it’s a tradition that when a boy is the 3rd (Sr., [name]Jr[/name]., III), then no matter what the name is, the nn for the boy is [name]Tre[/name] or [name]Trey[/name]. All this to say, if you love [name]Trey[/name], you could just use it as a nn. I like the idea of [name]Trenton[/name] nn [name]Trey[/name] or [name]Trent[/name] the best out of your list above.
I’m not a fan of any of the T names. I know a [name]Trenton[/name] that goes by [name]Trent[/name] and he seems to be fine with it. [name]Jameson[/name] is a great name and [name]Emerson[/name] could grow on me as I like [name]Emmett[/name] and [name]Everett[/name].
