We’ve been struggling with names since we found out that we’re having a little girl (actually before!). The one name that I keep coming back to is [name]Ruby[/name]. I like that it ends in a ‘y’ and reminds me of my own name and that it’s short and sweet. It also seems to go well with our son’s name, [name]Wyatt[/name]. Still, I worry that it’s harsh and/ or common (our last name starts with S and is pretty much the most common name around).

So now we’re getting close… and we both like [name]Ruby[/name] but aren’t totally sold. Any suggestions for similar names, unique-ish but not too wild. Middle name will be [name]Alice[/name] btw.
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is so sweet. [name]Ruby[/name] isn’t that popular where I live so I would use it in a heartbeat. When I think of [name]Ruby[/name] I think of [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name].

I like [name]Ruby[/name] but understand your concern there are quite a few [name]Ruby[/name]'s where I live. Thinking of y sound ending names, though some will be spelt ie & most are nn:
