Like the names, not the sibset. Thoughts?

[name]Hi[/name] Nameberries!

I know an older couple who have seven boys. My friends ([name]Regina[/name] and [name]John[/name]) named them pretty names, and with the boy’s personalities, I personally love the sibset but [name]Regina[/name] hates it and wishes their names went together. I was hoping to get your opinions NB.

The boys:

[name]Sean[/name] [name]Tyler[/name] (20)
[name]Evan[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] (18)
[name]Finn[/name] [name]Tomas[/name] (17)
[name]Douglass[/name] ([name]Doug[/name]) [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Miller[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name] (15)
[name]Ian[/name] [name]Daniel[/name] (12)
[name]Caleb[/name] [name]Calvin[/name] (10)

There’s no changing the names NOW, but hopefully I can convince [name]Regina[/name] that the names are great together. What is your opinion?

      • Thanks!

[name]Taylor[/name]

I love the names! None of them are too common and they all sound great with the middle names!

I especially like the name [name]Miller[/name], I wanted to name my first son that but my husband wouldn’t have it!

Also, I love the names [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Evan[/name]. They are seen around, but not too often.

All in all, I think she did really well!

I love them together

I think they are great together. If she really isn’t happy maybe she could consider “giving” the a second middle name, a family name mabye?, as a christmas/easter/birthday present. I just read a thread about that recently. Who knows?

I’m positive I once read a book with parents [name]Regina[/name] and [name]John[/name] and kids [name]Sean[/name], [name]Evan[/name], [name]Finn[/name], [name]Douglas[/name], [name]Miller[/name], [name]Ian[/name], and [name]Caleb[/name], so I’m not quite sure what’s going on here…

About the names: I thought they fit together fine stylistically aside from the fact that three out of the seven names are variants of [name]John[/name] ([name]Sean[/name], [name]Evan[/name], and [name]Ian[/name]). I remember being annoyed that the author or editor didn’t bother to research the names before giving them to characters.

Is this for real? A google search definitely comes up with some hits for characters by these names. Something called [name]Rose[/name] Amongst Thorns or something? That is weird about the 3 [name]John[/name] names!

[name]Megan[/name] [name]Meade[/name]'s Guide to the McGowan Boys? Interesting. :expressionless:
