[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl is due mid-march. We are currently considering [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. We are also looking at middle names. Since they are shorter names, I like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] moms name is [name_f]Maria[/name_f] and we want to honour her, but I can’t wrap my head around lila [name_f]Maria[/name_f] or lila [name_f]Marie[/name_f]… [name_m]Just[/name_m] doesn’t flow.
I really love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]! [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is lovely, but too popular for my tastes. I also like [name_f]Lila[/name_f], but prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
If you want to honor your mom but aren’t into [name_f]Maria[/name_f], what about another version of [name_f]Mary[/name_f]? I love [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f].
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous! Definitely my favourite.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] would be my second choice.
I really like all three of these names. I actually think [name_f]Marie[/name_f] works with any of them. In fact, [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is the one I’m a bit hesitant on, since both names end in -ie. It still sounds cute though. I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is my favorite of the three, with either middle.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] are my favourite two from your options. I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] flows really nicely and well as working well with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f] is beautiful too
1 [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is my favourite first name on your list
2 [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - the flow is fine.
2 [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - heavy on the s/z sound. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is my least favourite first name.
To honour your mother, you could use [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Mariel[/name_f]/[name_f]Marielle[/name_f], [name_u]Marian[/name_u]/[name_f]Marianne[/name_f]/[name_u]Marion[/name_u], [name_f]Marina[/name_f], [name_f]Marisa[/name_f], [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] or [name_f]Maren[/name_f].
Thanks for your input and ideas everyone! I’m leaning towards [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (my moms middle name is [name_f]Teresa[/name_f], so if I name her [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] I’m still honouring my mom). Still some thinking to do, but love everyones advice. [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] is also a consideration, since it combines my mom and sisters names in one ([name_f]Larissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Maria[/name_f]). I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], it’s my husbands suggestion, but it is very popular and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and lila are a bit more unique. So pretty though with a nice meaning.
I really love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!
I have always loved [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] would work well, depending on your last name.
