I can’t decide which one I like better!
Hmm… I think I prefer the flow of [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Lilac[/name]… If you want [name]Lilac[/name] as a first name, what about [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Lisbeth[/name] (if you like alliteration), [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Elsa[/name], [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Isabel[/name], or [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Bettina[/name]?
It does seem that word names generally work better in the middle, doesn’t it? But if you really want an unusual name like [name]Lilac[/name], reducing it to a middle may not be satisfying. There’s nothing wrong with [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name].
Definitely [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Lilac[/name]-- [name]Lily[/name] is a traditional nn for [name]Elisabeth[/name], so you could even nn her [name]Lilac[/name]! As a first name, it seems very cutesy and might not age well.
[name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Lilac[/name] flows slightly better than [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name], but I still think I’d go for [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]Lilac[/name] is so pretty and underused.
If you like both names so much, why don’t you save one for a future daughter?
