There’s something about the name lilac I really like! Think it sounds pretty! And it’s unusual! What do people think?
I love it. Color, nature, flower- can’t go wrong.
I love [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] It’s problably my favorite flower name.
Beautiful
Very pretty. It’s a lovely alternative to [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
Beautiful! Gorgeous! Nature-y, earthy, delicate, frilly/feminine, and magical! [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] is one of my favorite flower names!
Beautiful, though one thing to be aware of is regional pronunciation differences.
Some people say: [name_m]LY[/name_m]-LACK and others say, [name_m]LY[/name_m]-lick. In the second variation, they emphasise the first syllable, which means the soft a in the second syllable doesn’t get pronounced fully. I forget the official linguistic terminology for that.
I love it! It has the lovely sound of popular-feeling [name_f]Lila[/name_f], and it’s connection to nature makes it feel more substantial & adult. I think it’s a great name!
I absolutely love it…
I love all the associations of the colour and the flower and it seems more unique and fresher than [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
its a dipthong
I have it on my list of middles. I like it a lot, but it feels a bit cotton-candy and sweet as a first name. It has a great sound and a nice springtime image.
But maybe I’m a bit of a flower-name coward, since I like a less-sweet floral botanical up front: more [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], or [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] as first names, not so much [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f] or [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] or [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] are sort of in-between for me - not quite unusable as first names, but a little bit much to picture on a district attorney.
