We have a daughter [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and I love her name. What I love is that I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is a beautiful name, everyone knows it, yet it is not very popular. We are having another girl soon and I am having so much trouble finding a name I like as much as [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]. We are thinking about [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]. Worried [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] will blend in with all the other double L names, but worried [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] will constantly get the (wait what is it?) treatment. Most people I have asked don’t seem to know it is a real name. I also wonder if maybe [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] sounds a bit harsh next to [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]? Any thoughts on these two names or other suggestions? It’s not clear to me how trendy [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is or isn’t, etc. Thanks!
I think that [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] both sound great with [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] but my personal preference is [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]. Also, I’m pretty sure [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is a UK bus service.
If you are in UK then [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is associated with an insurance company, Arriva is the Bus company… I moved from CA, USA 2016 and this made me delete [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] from my list [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is gorgeous but do you like the possibility of nicknames. [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is perfect I feel, unusual and feminine.
Much love, [name_u]Sky[/name_u]
I first thought more about getting stuck in an “h” ending trap if you went with [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] (which could easily be spelled [name_f]Lila[/name_f]) but I prefer [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], personally. I think it is lovely, and underrated.
I vastly prefer [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], though I like [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] as well. I live in the US so the insurance company was unknown to me.
I like both but [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is just so lively and joyful, I love it.
Thanks for the feedback. We are Jewish, but I’m wondering if [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] reads as clearly Jewish to most people.
I’m Jewish - [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] reads Jewish to me. Also, I have a [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] so that gets my vote.
I love [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] better with Susananh. It just feels a bit short to me though.
They are both great so you can’t go wrong
I prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
