I realize there are other spellings of [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]/[name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_u]Vivien[/name_u]/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] so please just go by the sound of the name and the name itself and not the spelling, as those could be modified.
I much prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] for this baby. Hubby and I both like [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], but I have some concerns about how it sounds with our last name, which sounds exactly like CV. We would not plan on calling her by anything shorter.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] or [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] in general? Which is better with our last name?
I brought up [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] to see if hubby would go for it as a middle name where the V-sound is less harsh to me.
I do like [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] but it sounds too similar to [name_m]Silas[/name_m] (their first syllables rhyme when I say them) so I vote for [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
Both are beautiful. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] feels more sophisticated while [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is sweet. With the last name, I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is a very strong name, and in my opinion a little harsh. If you’re not planning on shortening it, my only concern is that it will feel too much like a woman’s name when she’s a child. But it’s still a beautiful name. [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], on the other hand, is softer and sweeter. It seems like something that would suit a child and a woman. I also think all three spelling variations are really beautiful.
