My DH and I have been having lots of name talk lately (or should I say I’ve been doing lots of talking, and he has been doing lots of listening) :lol:
We have agreed on [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] for a girl, but we have been discussing other names as well (even though we aren’t preg. yet, we want a few names to go to the hospital with, and will decide once we meet the little person). For some reason, girls names are SOOOOO much harder for us to agree on. I met a little girl named [name]Lilia[/name] this week, who was just gorgeous and an absolute doll. For me, I need good associations with a name to even consider it…
Anyhow, I brought the name up to my hubby, and he actually LIKED it! Now that isn’t to say he would want to use it … but, for him, this is a good start. So, I guess my first question is, do [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Lilia[/name] even go together? I feel like one is more traditional, classic-sounding, and the other is a bit more exotic and Latin-sounding. I like coming up with potential sibling sets, only because I don’t want to choose a name, and then we go to have more children, and we can’t agree to other names that “match” the first child’s name in some way. That probably seems crazy…
Also, what would you use as a middle name for a little [name]Lilia[/name]? Our last name rhymes with “[name]Tower[/name].” I’m going to list other girls names that we like so you can have some ideas to go on. Also, any other suggestions (such as using [name]Lilia[/name] as a middle name even, would be appreciated). We were hoping to have about 3 names that we both adore before meeting the baby, and right now, we only have one (for a girl).
