I prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] because I find it hard to envision [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] on a child/young person. [name_f]My[/name_f] grandmother had a friend called [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] so maybe that’s why. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] feels lighter and younger to me.

I love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! To me it’s dainty, unexpected and a very fresh update to [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] ([name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lillie[/name_f], [name_f]Lili[/name_f]…). I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], but I would worry it’d be shortened to [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] or some variation. Also, I don’t know if you know what synesthesia is (if not, you should read today’s article on the main Nameberry site), but [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] just “tastes” better!

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] Renée
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Maureen[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Angelica[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Nathalie[/name_f]

And, of course, I have to put [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] down even though @12queen already did. She helped me come up with it, and it is the name of the main character of my second book and my favorite [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] combo. (Though I do spell it with two “ls”: [name_f]Lillia[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. You might consider this as sort of a hybrid between [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]?)

Love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] feels a bit outdated to me.
