I would prefer [name_f]Leela[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] sounds like a nickname. I’m not a fan of nicknames for names.
Also I’ve met a few [name_f]Leela[/name_f]’s (though they spelled it either [name_f]Leila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f]), so it seems more approachable.
But [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] is a great nickname for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. It could stand on its own, but I would never think to use it that way.
Lilibet has a sweet, caring vibe
Leela is spunky and energetic
Both are lovely names, but they give off very distinctly different vibes to me personally.
Lilibet seems very vintage and girly. I would imagine a [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] to be precocious, bookish, creative, sweet, kind, and maybe a bit of an outsider.
Leela sounds more modern imo. I would imagine a [name_f]Leela[/name_f] to be very popular and more gender-neutral in her choices. [name_f]Leela[/name_f] sounds like a cool girl. She seems more distant as a person than [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f], who seem more warm to me.
Lilibet seems more like a nickname to me. Maybe that’s because I’ve been watching The Crown though? [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] seems a bit naive, soft, and quiet.
I love [name_f]Leela[/name_f] but prefer the [name_f]Lela[/name_f] spelling. I think someone named [name_f]Lela[/name_f] (or [name_f]Leela[/name_f]) would be a spunky leader with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.
I think I like [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] better! A little bit sweeter and less trendy.
I prefer the sound of [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] over [name_f]Leela[/name_f].
While it originated as a diminutive, the length and the strong -t ending make me feel [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] stands up well on it’s own.
I prefer the sound of [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] but it looks made-up to me, so my vote goes to [name_f]Leela[/name_f].
Nooo I love both
[name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] (“[name_f]Leela[/name_f]”)?
Lilibet is warm and cozy and a chunky knit sweater. [name_f]Leela[/name_f] is energetic and playful and exciting. I don’t think there’s a wrong choice— both are excellent
I definitely prefer [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f]! Both names feel very fresh and bubbly!
Lilibet sounds and looks more fun to me I like it!
Leela seems like the artsier boho version of [name_f]Leila[/name_f]/Layla. [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] kinda more hipstery/classic sort of people as her parents kind of a nice soft girl name.
I prefer [name_f]Leela[/name_f].
Leela makes me think of someone stylish and confident
[name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] is a bit offbeat, an unusual, maybe quirky person. This would be a hard name to carry if you’re academic and serious in nature, whereas I feel that a [name_f]Leela[/name_f] could be anybody.
Lilibet
Lilibet sweet and caring
Leela lively, outgoing & opinionated
Both are really nice! I prefer [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] personally because [name_f]Leela[/name_f] will get lost in all the [name_f]Layla[/name_f]/Laila/Leila, [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/Lyla/Lilah/Lylah, [name_f]Lola[/name_f], etc babies being born lately.
I like both. I’m torn between them, because while I prefer the sound of [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f], [name_f]Leela[/name_f] does seem more like a formal name.
They’re both lovely but I have to vote for [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] - it’s just gorgeous and it’s a bit more wearable once she’s older. Also lots of nickname options!
Both names are lovely! I admit to preferring [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] though–[name_f]Leela[/name_f] is nice, but I prefer [name_f]Leila[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], or even [name_f]Lela[/name_f] (which I would say the same), myself. It’s still a lovely name; I’m just more of a [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f] person.
Good luck!
