It’s everywhere, but I think there’s a reason for it! I am a big nicknamer, so she would be [name]Lily[/name], but I like the grown-up sophistication of [name]Lillian[/name]. I love that the nickname is a beautiful flower name. I’m trying to find less popular choices, since I’d really like her to not be one of many, but I’m not finding anything that I like quite as much. [name]Do[/name] it or not?
I know a several little girls named [name]Lily[/name], but I think it’s pretty and I love [name]Lillian[/name] as a longer, more sophisticated name.
Does popularity of the name matter to you? If not, then use it. If you’re concerned that there will be lots of other little [name]Lily[/name]'s running around her 1st grade class with her, then find something else. Only you can decide (and prevent forest fires).
It’s a very pretty name, hence its popularity.
If you love it, use it.
If you love it that much, then I would use it.
