I really love this name, but I question whether it will grow well. Should it really be put on a birth certificate or should it only be used as a NN? [name_m]Can[/name_m] you picture an adult [name_f]Lilou[/name_f]? I can see it on a child, young lady or an older lady, but I’m not sure about an adult (30 - 60). Thoughts?
I can definitely see [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] on an adult!
Very pretty and can see it age well
Leeloo [name_u]Dallas[/name_u], multipass
It’s a cute and bright name, but I feel it veers on the side of being too cutesy at the moment, at least in an Anglophone country. I see it in the same vein as [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Cici[/name_f], [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], etc. which usually sound better as a nickname for a more established name. I feel like it is inching toward becoming a more established name in its own right, though.
I can see [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] on an adult. I’ve met adult Lou’s and I know [name_f]Lula[/name_f] has been used, so I think [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] works
It’s one of my favorites.
Not sure if I’ll use it because my #1 name is [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
It will age just fine.
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is currently in the top 100 and so were [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f]. I find it less cutesy than all of these (I like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], though!).
Honestly, I really don’t see how [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] ages any worse than [name_f]Lily[/name_f] would I think it just st depends on preference! Maybe having a more “adult” middle name like [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u] 🫶🏼
“Multi-pass. Bada boom!”
@Youssarian and @autumnreverie The 5th Element is one of the reasons I love this name.
I hate to be a downer but I’ve read that [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] is considered a tacky name in [name_u]France[/name_u]. But if you’re not in [name_u]France[/name_u] maybe it would work. I would just hate to find out that a name I chose is the equivalent of [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] or [name_f]Crystal[/name_f].
