Lily or Amelia

Convince me into either name. These are our top picks and I just can’t make my mind up

Last name is similar to Showmen

Struggling with this decision big time :sob::sob::sob:

[name_f]Lily[/name_f]! [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is feeling a bit overused and trendy (plus all I hear is “a meal”). [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a timeless classic

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] has always felt slightly trendy to me, whereas [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is a timeless classic experiencing well-deserved attention.
However, I really do like both names and you wouldn’t go wrong with either. Also, [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] would be such a pretty full name!

Amelia!! gorgeous name! also if you’re up for changing it you could call her Amelie nn Lily. it’s a bit of a stretch but the ‘lee’ at the end of Amelie could work for the ‘lee’ at the end of Lily!

Amelia! A bit more substantial and sweet, I think. It has a very nice sound. Amelia Lily or Lily Amelia would make nice combos.

I love the sweet Lily!!

Lily!!

Both are incredibly popular names but I prefer [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] means ‘work’ which feels like a rubbish meaning for such a pretty name.

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] is just so soft and beautiful sounding, it looks lovely, there’s the actual flower association and it’s just a gorgeous classic.

If you want one that kind of bridges the two there’s always [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] (and you could have the nickname Lily).

I feel like I should love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but more often than not I hear others pronouncing it “ah-meal-ya”, which is just not as elegant when compared to [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
