[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I had previously settled on [name_f]Lily[/name_f], but we were having trouble finding a middle name we loved, from the beginning he wanted a “southern belle” type of name, which is how we eventually decided on [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
I always thought an Italian name would sound good with our last name, the other night he came to bed and asked what I thought of the name [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] had been on my list from the beginning, and he vetoed it early on, not sure why he has the sudden interest, but I’m okay with it. Also the name combo [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] immediately came to mind, [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] was in our top 3 names, but we just couldn’t find a middle name that flowed properly with our name.
[name_f]My[/name_f] concerns with [name_f]Lily[/name_f] are
popularity
we can’t find a good middle name, we were considering [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], since I’m due the week of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], but we don’t love it.
[name_f]My[/name_f] concerns with [name_f]Aria[/name_f] are
mispronunciation
popularity based on Pretty [name_m]Little[/name_m] Liars and Game of Thrones, i’ve always liked the name, well before either of these shows were on air, and the connection to the shows doesn’t bother me, and I’m assuming neither of those shows will be relevant to her peers when she’s older, so I shouldn’t stress about that, right?
So, anyway, what do you think sounds better? Our last name is [name_m]DeLano[/name_m] pronounced da-lay-no.
I like aria because you’re right: 10 years from now that show will not be relevant. And the name will be common enough that people won’t mispronounce it.
I really dislike [name_f]Aria[/name_f], so I’m going to say [name_f]Lily[/name_f], but, is it possible to use [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]?
Another vote for [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilly[/name_f] just seems way overused to me.
Also, [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is a great combo.
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and I absolutely love it. Despite the statistics, I’ve never met another [name_f]Lily[/name_f] in my life. [name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and, once again, I love it. I think my name is quite pretty and flows really well. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is very pretty though, but I prefer [name_f]Lily[/name_f] I kind of have bias I guess but I’ve never gone through a phase of hating my name as most of my friends have (I’m 16 if that’s relevant).
Middle name suggestions:
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m] (self-promo woo, except my surname isn’t [name_m]DeLano[/name_m]…)
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m] (it’s similar to [name_f]Aria[/name_f])
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Arianwen[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m] (once again, similar to [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. It also means ‘silver’ which I think is really pretty)
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Marzia[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_m]DeLano[/name_m] (original Greek spelling of [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] - kind of Mediterranean like [name_m]DeLano[/name_m] idk)
