I love [name]Lincoln[/name], and it would fit perfectly with [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Jack[/name]!
I think I find it appealing because of the nickname [name]Linc[/name]/[name]Link[/name], which is so cool. I’ve never met a [name]Lincoln[/name] either and I have only just realised that people in the UK associate with the place in the UK named [name]Lincoln[/name], the same with [name]Preston[/name] but I still like both. However, would probably not use it as a first name because of those places.
When I think of [name]Lincoln[/name], all I recall is [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Burrows[/name] from the series Prison Break and he was such a good looking, rugged man so again only a positive image
I like the idea of [name]Lincoln[/name], its history and associations, but find it slightly difficult to say. It also reminds me of the social network Linked In.
Personally, I’d never use it. Being from the US, its association with the former president [name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] is horrible for me. I’d never want to name my kids after a president like that.
I’m from the States, too, but I really rather admire [name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name]. I think the name is great! I prefer the nickname [name]Cole[/name] to [name]Linc[/name], but that’s personal taste.
I really [name]Lincoln[/name], and I think it goes very well with the other names you’ve picked out. [name]Linc[/name] is my favorite nickname. [name]Emmy[/name], [name]Jack[/name], and [name]Linc[/name] would be so cute.
I associate it primarily with [name]Lincoln[/name] Logs, which gives it more boyish charm than most surnames, and [name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] (definitely a positive association in my book).
I absolutely love [name]Lincoln[/name]! It just narrowly missed being on my list, but I think [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Jack[/name], and [name]Lincoln[/name] is so perfect for you. I’m actually completely in love! I think the association to [name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] really can’t be beat… I’m not sure if that would be as positive if you’re not in the US (which, I think you said you’re from Australia, right?), but I still absolutely love it. I, too, prefer [name]Cole[/name] to [name]Linc[/name]/[name]Link[/name], but either are nice. If you’re still using surnamey family MNs, [name]Lincoln[/name] ____ ____ might start to sound pretty surnamey, though! [name]Do[/name] you have any non-surnamey family names you could pair with it?
Thanks everyone for all of your feedback
We live in Australia so the [name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] thing wont be a huge problem here, and although I am American I don’t mide it that much.
Hmmm all the family names that I like are surnames… I have a few that I haven’t posted about though: [name]Harrison[/name], [name]Ryan[/name], [name]James[/name]… I guess they are all more namey though so they could work??
My husband is being impossible, he likes [name]Lincoln[/name] and we were almost set on it and then he said he absolutely loves [name]Sawyer[/name]… I actually really like it but I think it sounds even more surnamey than [name]Lincoln[/name]…the exact same thing happened to the baby girls name we were all set for [name]Lila[/name] and then he said no I like [name]Emmeline[/name] much more but that’s ok cause I’m soooo in love with it now. It is crazy trying to agree and he gets final say on this one cause I named [name]Jack[/name]. [name]Thackeray[/name] must be used in the middle though…
Sorry for ranting,

I like [name]Lincoln[/name] a lot more than [name]Sawyer[/name]. Ask him to see both names on a grown man. (I don’t think [name]Sawyer[/name] really cuts it there)
[name]Lincoln[/name] [name]James[/name] would be great
[name]Lincoln[/name] is in my top three, right now leading the pack, so I think it is a great pick! I agree that it is a stronger male name than [name]Sawyer[/name]. Good luck.
I think [name]Lincoln[/name] is the cutest name! It goes well on a child or an adult and has great nicknames. I know a super cute little [name]Lincoln[/name] so I guess the associations are good for me.
[name]Sawyer[/name] has actually really grown on me lately, but for your little ones I do think [name]Lincoln[/name] fits better with [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Jack[/name]! [name]Lincoln[/name] [name]Thackeray[/name] sounds fine too.
Well actually I say go all out… go with [name]ABRAHAM[/name] as first name and [name]LINCOLN[/name] as middle name. I’ve been [name]ABRAHAM[/name] [name]LINCOLN[/name] all my life, I was born in 1973, and i’ve only met one abraham in my whole life. It’s awesome to see people’s reactions to my name, and people all over the world comment on my passport. People trust [name]Abraham[/name], and no one ever made fun of it. [name]How[/name] can you? I mean he’s like a god and the prophet was accepted by all three monotheistic faiths! go for it!
I see it as a place, rather than a name, but that’s because I have a friend who lives in [name]Lincoln[/name], UK. Also, I’ve never met anyone by it, so I have no other attachment to it.
I love [name]Lincoln[/name]! I think the nn [name]Link[/name] would be cute and I’m from the states and [name]Abraham[/name] [name]Lincoln[/name] is known as one of [name]America[/name]'s favorite and most admired presidents so I’m not sure why anyone would find that association horrible… my boyfriend told me he likes [name]Sawyer[/name] too but we thought that it wouldn’t really age well and couldn’t get [name]Sawyer[/name] from lost outta our heads haha
