I’m not much for fictional/fantasy names, but there is just something adorable about this name. Could it work? Would a child like being named after a video game character?
I think [name]Link[/name] would be very cute for a little boy or a great nn. I don’t how how I feel about it on a grown man -> as a mn I think it would be great! I think if you or your husband really like the game [name]Zelda[/name] I think this could be a plus point. If you are both neutral about the game I wouldn’t worry about it -> I just mention it because you brought it up.
I could see it working, but I don’t know… honestly if it were me, I would hate being named after a video game or character in a movie. I would like there to be more to my name than that… I don’t mind having the same name as [name]Princess[/name] [name]Diana[/name] because I knew the story behind it. My mom loved Diamonds and wanted to name me [name]Diamond[/name], but my dad said no, and so they ended up compromising with [name]Diana[/name].
I would go with [name]Lincoln[/name], nickname [name]Linc[/name]/[name]Link[/name]. That way your son would have a nice, grown-up option and wouldn’t be stuck with only a video game name.
