I have really been thinking about [name]Lionel[/name] lately. Is it too hard to wear? Too [name]Lionel[/name] [name]Ritchie[/name]?? Any standout opinions?
I really have liked it ever since the [name]King[/name]'s Speech. That kind of untied it from [name]Lionel[/name] [name]Richie[/name] for me, and he’s not as famous as he used to be. Plus the opportunity for [name]Lio[/name]/[name]Leo[/name] nn gives it some cool factor.
I like animal names! The first thing I think of when I hear [name]Lionel[/name] is of a lion. I think it is strong and manly. I do prefer [name]Leander[/name] and [name]Leonard[/name]/[name]Leonardo[/name] though.
I think it’s great! I tried to get it on our list but it was a no-go with my hubs.
I like it! I think [name]Lionel[/name] Messi, not [name]Lionel[/name] [name]Ritchie[/name] (although it is pronounced a bit differently).
I like it! It was my grandfather’s middle name, so I am a little biased. I think of my grandfather, not [name]Lionel[/name] [name]Ritchie[/name]. It’s also on my middle names list. I like the option of [name]Leo[/name] as a nn too.
I know a 6 month old [name]Lionel[/name]. [name]Leo[/name] is becoming more and more popular so [name]Lionel[/name] is fresher.
[name]Lionel[/name] is a great name, one of the ones we’ve seriously considered at various stages as well. I don’t think it’s too connected to [name]Lionel[/name] [name]Ritchie[/name] to be useable, it’s an association that some will make, but it’s not that bad of an association anyway. I think it’s a strong name with a solid meaning (especially if your kid were to be born under the sign of the [name]Leo[/name], that’d make it even cooler). Plus, it’s relatively uncommon, and always has been, but nonetheless has always floated around within the top 1000 most common names. This, combined with the general feel of the name, make it feel like one of those names that is both antique (but in a good way) and modern at the same time.
[name]Lionel[/name] is one of my favorites. I think it sounds both strong and and is familiar, yet not at all overused.
I prefer [name]Leonel[/name], but it’s very nice!
I think [name]Lionel[/name] could be wearable as long as you don’t use [name]Ritchie[/name] for his mn.
It has a good meaning and decent sound and nn could be [name]Lio[/name]/[name]Leo[/name] or [name]Lion[/name].
I think it’s fantastic. [name]Regal[/name] and virile, saintly and refined.
For young boys there’s the [name]Lionel[/name] train sets, which he would doubtless think is awesome.
I agree it is a very refined name. I wonder if one can get the nn of [name]Leo[/name] from this name? For me it would remain a GP or a middle name but I do love the flow and deliciousness of this name.
rollo
I prefer [name]Linus[/name] as [name]Lionel[/name] reminds me of linolium for some reason.
[name]Lionel[/name] is starting to grow on me, actually. It’s not so much [name]Lionel[/name] [name]Ritchie[/name] to me as much as it is the son from The Jeffersons. Nevertheless, I still consider it to be perfectly usable. I like how it seems uncommon, and yet somehow familiar.
