Opinions on [name]Lisette[/name]? I’m trying to find an alternative to the all so popular [name]Isabel[/name]. I love the name but when you add up [name]Isabel[/name] + [name]Isabelle[/name] + [name]Isabella[/name] the name is truely an epidemic. I want something old fasioned and feminine and if it has a nn that is a plus but not a requirement. [name]Lisette[/name] is another version of [name]Elizabeth[/name], which has family significance. Plus it is very similar to my boyfriend grandmothers name [name]Lieselotte[/name].
Could [name]Izzy[/name] be a nn for [name]Lisette[/name]? I dont like [name]Lizzy[/name].
Are there any other girls names you could suggest that have a similar feeling as [name]Isabel[/name] but arent extremly popular (just out of the top 100 would probably be okay). Thanks!
I really like [name]Lisette[/name]! It’s a bit dated, but I’ve always found it pretty. [name]Izzy[/name] could definitely work! You may also like the nn [name]Lettie[/name]…
Thanks for your replies. What do you think of [name]Estelle[/name]? Could the nns [name]Stella[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Estie[/name], or [name]Elsie[/name] all work? Any of them a stretch? [name]Estelle[/name] fits all the criteria. old fasioned, not super popular, starts with a vowel, lots of nns. I also like [name]Estella[/name].
We just named our two-week-old [name]Lisette[/name] (We are calling her [name]Lizzy[/name]) and we couldn’t be happier with it – people seem to really like it. I love that it’s unusual, feminine and kind of quirky. It seems spunky to me.
Another [name]Elizabeth[/name] variation we also liked was [name]Eliza[/name].
Good [name]Luck[/name]!
I think [name]Lisette[/name] is very sweet, kind of old-fashioned but has a little bit of spunk to it! And I think [name]Izzy[/name] could work as a nn as well
[name]Just[/name] a little side note, [name]Liesl[/name]/[name]Liesel[/name] is actually a diminuitive form of [name]Elizabeth[/name], I saw someone post it on here and thought I’d share
