Lissia

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]

My husband and I love the name Lissia. I once met an old lady called Liscia but prefer the spelling of Lissia so it is easier to pronounce. I don’t like [name_f]Alyssia[/name_f] or [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] but wasn’t sure if people would think it is a made up name?

No nasty comments please:)

Not sure how to pronounce this, is it lee-SEE-uh or [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-see-uh?
the second option sounds like a nickname for alicia and if i was told it wasnt i would think it was a made up name, but the first option is fine

Like ‘liss ee ah’

I was talking about where you raise your voice, LISSeeah (like [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] without the a) or lissEEah

To be honest, Lissia does look made-up to me, Liscia less so. For the pronunciation you’re using it’s a good phonetic spelling — I can tell it’s LISS-ee-a. It’s not really my style; I grew up with a lot of girls named [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] so that’s probably why the sound doesn’t excite me. Have you considered [name_f]Elysia[/name_f]?

I think it’s pretty. Be prepared for spelling and prn issues.

It’s not bad. Feels a little unsubstantial or unfinished, like it’s missing something.
