My husband and I arent quite ready to have children yet, but we have started narrowing down names for our list. My style tends to leans on the more unique side (I am named after my biological father but with a female spelling, [name_u]Dani[/name_u], not [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] or [name_f]Daniella[/name_f]). I tend to not like top 100 names, and name meaning is important to me. Nothing super outlandish but nothing very traditional either.
My husband on the other hand is more of a “if I like it I like” type of guy. It feels like he doesn’t necessarily has a style. Some names he’s approved (ex: Keilani) others its a hard pass (Kendry (m)). Our last name ends with the “ah” sound so I tend to dislike first names that end that way too.
What are your thoughts on the names below? To me, they arent very out there, but I may be biased? I am certainly open to suggestions. I’m definitely a name nerd so all suggestions are appreciated <3

Oriona- almost would rather this is just [name_u]Orion[/name_u] without the a. If pronounced oh-ree-own-a then it reminds me of areola aka nipples

For girls, [name_f]Talise[/name_f], [name_u]Dara[/name_u], [name_f]Amorie[/name_f], Keilani, [name_f]Mirielle[/name_f], and [name_f]Alma[/name_f] are all usable imo. I suppose [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] is too but it’s definitely not my style. [name_u]Hillary[/name_u] just feels outdated. I suppose Oriona is kind of usable, but [name_m]Roland[/name_m], [name_f]Pavati[/name_f] and [name_f]Pele[/name_f] feel like they aren’t really names (although I could probably get on board with [name_m]Roland[/name_m])
I’d say your boys are much more out there. I can just about imagine [name_u]Paz[/name_u], [name_u]Wynn[/name_u], and Kendry on a real person.
I think you’re style is pretty outlandish to be honest, but I don’t mean that in a bad way. There are definitely some lovely and usable names here!
Thank you everybody! Ultimately we arent going to be having children for at least another year (fingers crossed sooner!) but this can at least serve as a starting point for me to compromise and find other names.
