A slightly delayed announcement on the arrival of our son, [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] - little brother to [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] - on [name_u]June[/name_u] 5th (his grandpa’s birthday!).
We had great difficulty choosing a name with much back and forth as my husband and I have extremely different taste and I found out the gender while my husband did not want to know. I successfully kept the secret (!!!) and we decided on family names as a compromise 
Had he been a girl, his name would have been [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] after two of my favorite women, my late grandmothers.
[name_m]Scott[/name_m] is my father’s middle name and [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] is my husband’s middle name, which is the middle name of his father and was originally the maiden name of my father-in-law’s biological mother. [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] is a family name passed down on my mother’s side and is also my middle name so it was important to us to do the same for our son.
[name_m]Scott[/name_m] was 8lbs 12oz and 22in long and is absolutely adored by big sister [name_f]Holly[/name_f], who calls him “be-be ska”. Thank you all for your help and wonderful suggestions that helped us narrow down our choices!
a lot of people seem taken aback by our choice of [name_m]Scott[/name_m] because it’s so “average” but I’m happy to see some support on here. I originally wanted something with more nickname potential but thanks to [name_f]Holly[/name_f], “ska” has become a nice, simple solution for that.
