I love [name]Oscar[/name]! It’s very cute!
I voted [name]Eric[/name] even though I don’t see it often on these boards. I think it’s a lesser seen classic much like [name]Peter[/name]. I think they’re similar in style. I admit though that with [name]Emerson[/name] it might be a bit too alliterative…so I also voted for [name]Charles[/name] as a second.
I voted for [name]Timothy[/name]. I am partial to it because it is my brother’s name. Also it is uncommon and really underused these days! I also like [name]Charles[/name] on your list.
1 [name]Timothy[/name] - I think this name is a great “fit” with [name]Peter[/name] but [name]Emerson[/name] in the middle is a lot of syllables. [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] perhaps?
2 [name]Charles[/name] - comes with a cute nn of [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Charlie[/name] would be wonderful for siblings. The combo [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] does blend together but it sounds distinguished.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]!
This is so helpful! I love hearing all your opinions. Today my faves are [name]Charles[/name], which is his grandfather’s name, so a nice tribute; and [name]Patrick[/name], which I just keep saying over and over in my head because it’s so adorable.
I want something that will match [name]Peter[/name], being popular in my parents’ generation but now somewhat underused. Is [name]Charles[/name] really popular right now? I think that [name]Eric[/name] was really popular up through the 80’s but now, not so much. Same with [name]Timothy[/name]. I don’t know how popular [name]Patrick[/name] is. I think a little more than [name]Peter[/name] these days?
I also like the idea of [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] if we went with that.
Thank you all for your replies and help - I am so glad I found this site! :)[name]Liz[/name]
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Peter[/name]! It was a name I wanted to use for my sons.
For [name]Peter[/name]'s brother, I like the names on your list in this order:
[name]Timothy[/name] - my son’s name, which I’m glad we used // [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] would be amazingly handsome!
[name]Eric[/name] - another favorite of mine!
[name]Charles[/name] - very nice
[name]Patrick[/name] - I might skip [name]Patrick[/name] to avoid a P-theme and to allow the boys to have their own first initial.
[name]Oscar[/name]
Definitely [name]Timothy[/name]! I don’t know why, but I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Timothy[/name] and [name]Peter[/name] as brothers. I second the suggestion of [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name].
Ok you have definitely got me thinking about [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] today. I will have to work on my husband…
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] or [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Emerson[/name]!
hi, have you heard of the TV show M.A.S.H 4077, one of the Dr. names was [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] Winchester III, not saying that makes it good or bad choice. I like the way it sounds. I also like [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] from one of the earlier comments.
good to know, I never would have remembered that although I am old enough to have watched my share of MASH!
I voted for [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] – swoon!!! I also love that it’s his grandfather’s name (though I didn’t read that until after I voted). [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] is also a great name, but [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] … I don’t know — it just has that ring to it.
My vote would probably be [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name], but I like [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] as well. Part of me wanted to vote for [name]Eric[/name] though. It is a great name, and I happen to have uncles (brothers) with the names [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Eric[/name]. They are the only 2 boys with 8 sisters!
I wouldn’t go with [name]Oscar[/name] (lovely name-my nephew’s actually) but the ending sounds very similar to [name]Peter[/name] in my opinion.
I choose [name]Patrick[/name] as I like alliteration.
[name]Timothy[/name] would be my second choice. (It’s my brother in law’s name and he’s 25. I also know a bub born this year who has it as a mn. It’s a bit more unique now days!)
Today I am thinking [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Charlie[/name] sound really good together. Something about [name]Charles[/name] [name]Emerson[/name], despite sounding a little distinguished for a baby as was mentioned, flows really nicely. I also think [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Eric[/name] sound good together. Husband is pretty set on [name]Emerson[/name] as mn as it is his dad’s mn, so I think [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Charles[/name] is out and I agree with post that [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] is too many syllables. I agree with rachelemma, [name]Oscar[/name] is too rhymie as sibset with [name]Peter[/name].
I still love [name]Patrick[/name] and I think [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] is nice. Not sure about the alliteration, I think I like it. I never would have thought about having two boys with P names but maybe I will!
That all said - do we go with [name]Charles[/name], [name]Eric[/name] or [name]Patrick[/name]?
Your comments are all so helpful, thanks!
