[name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Ben[/name] have family connections, which is a nice bonus. Is it odd to call [name]Samuel[/name] by his full name, but nn another child? Or is that not a big deal?
I like [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] and think it’s fine if you use a nn for him and not [name]Samuel[/name]. I think [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Ben[/name] go best with your sibset.
I think [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is adorable and fits in really well with the other sib names
As for the nicknames, calling [name]Samuel[/name] by his full name and not a nn isn’t a big deal, you could call him [name]Sam[/name] but if you choose not to it’s totally your call
I’m guessing you’re having a hard time because they’re all very nice-sounding!
I bet as [name]Samuel[/name] gets older, many people will automatically call him [name]Sam[/name] whether you really want them to or not. I can’t decide though whether calling another child a nickname will increase that or actually make [name]Samuel[/name] stand more on its own.
I also like [name]Benjamin[/name] the best. [name]Grace[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], and [name]Ben[/name] has a nice ring to it.
We figure that might happen, too, with [name]Samuel[/name] as he gets older. We are totally fine with [name]Sam[/name] as well if that’s what he becomes (some people do now, even when we introduce him as “[name]Samuel[/name]”). So, I guess the nickname/fullname issue may not even come into play once they are gradeschool age.
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is great! [name]Grace[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], and [name]Ben[/name] are really cute together. I think it’s fine that [name]Benjamin[/name] would have a nn, but [name]Samuel[/name] wouldn’t.
Have you considered [name]Asher[/name]? I looked at [name]Aaron[/name] [name]Charles[/name] and saw [name]Asher[/name] [name]Charles[/name], and wanted to vote for it! I think [name]Grace[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], and [name]Asher[/name] are really great together. But if you’re set on one of these three I understand.
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] <3 Other people might feel obligated to call Samuel Sam, but it’s your household, you decide what to call him
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name]) Like [name]Charlie[/name], not so fussed on [name]Charles[/name].
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (nn [name]Ben[/name]) [name]LOVE[/name]- full name and nn both great.
[name]Aaron[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] seems less well matched to siblings
Also love:
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Aaron[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Charles[/name]
I love all the names on your list! [name]Aaron[/name] stands out as one of my ultra-favorite boy names. I strongly considered suggesting [name]Aaron[/name] to my husband for our second son, but decided not to in light of the fact that it sounds the same as [name]Erin[/name]. I have known more Erins than Aarons, and I did not want him to experience anyone mistaking him for a girl upon hearing the name. I would not hesitate to use it as a middle name though.
So, even though, [name]Aaron[/name] is my very favorite, I vote for [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] - wonderful name!! I do like [name]Charles[/name] too, but more as a middle name.
BTW, I just love your older son’s name [name]Samuel[/name]. [name]Grace[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], and [name]Benjamin[/name] are a great sibset.
I think [name]Benjamin[/name] fits best with [name]Samuel[/name] and [name]Charles[/name]/[name]Charlie[/name] fits best with [name]Sam[/name]. So, I would go with [name]Benjamin[/name].
I like [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] but also like the name [name]Charles[/name]. I don’t think [name]Charles[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] rolls off the tongue as easily, though. I don’t think there’s any reason you have to match the kid names so closely as to call one by a nickname and the other not.
