I like [name]Leighton[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] (not with a y though).

[name]Emersyn[/name]: [name]Love[/name] [name]Emerson[/name]. It’s one of the only unisex names I like on girls. But [name]Emersyn[/name] doesn’t look right at all to me. I don’t think replacing a Y for an O feminizes a name at all (which is the original thinking behind it) and it will just complicate your daughter’s life.

[name]Landyn[/name]: This, spelled [name]Landon[/name], is VERY popular for boys (#36 out of 1000). Again, putting a Y in doesn’t really differentiate it much. I wouldn’t use it on a girl, even with this spelling.

[name]Leighton[/name]: I voted for this one. It’s cute and it’s being used more now for girls.

[name]Kadyn[/name]: extremely trendy, very masculine, I wouldn’t use this one.

Y so many Ys? :frowning: Sorry, the spellings ruined them all for me except [name]Leighton[/name] and I’m not a fan of that one.
*[name]Edit[/name]- I don’t know how I missed it but I just reread your post and saw all the choices are for a girl. The only one I can see on a girl is [name]Leighton[/name] which like I said I’m not too fond of but if you love a name then go for it!!

Sorry but I couldnt pick. They are all really tryndee and the ys are bit much imo, not to mention they are all boys names.

Some alternative:
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Emery[/name]- unisex but more feminine, [name]EmerSON[/name] is a boys name no matter how to spell it.
[name]Emlyn[/name]- traditional Irish males name but very feminine imo.
[name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Aubrey[/name]

Thank you for the replies. We tried to have each of us come up with a listing of names we like. Put up a poll and compare lists. Daddy needed to see the responses. He likes having "Y"s in names. I don’t have an answer as to why. I’ll all for unique names (or at least not in the top 50) but I’m not a fan of names that may be confused with a boy name. Fortunately he is starting his list over. I’m going to post my picks soon. So thanks!
