Little sister for Charlotte!

We are struggling to agree on a name for [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Helen[/name]'s little sister.

Here is the list so far. Our last name begins with a D and is very [name]German[/name] sounding (two syllables).

[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

Help! We are very open to suggestions.

[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is stunning! I love it with [name]Charlotte[/name], too. I also love [name]Audrey[/name]. Really, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Have you considered [name]Josephine[/name] as a first name?
A few more suggestions to go with [name]Charlotte[/name]:
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] (may not be best with your last name, but I love it)
[name]Sylvia[/name]/[name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] (you may not want another C name, though)
[name]Beatrice[/name] or [name]Beatrix[/name] (I [name]LOVE[/name] those with [name]Charlotte[/name]!)
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Margot[/name] (you could always use this as a nn for [name]Margaret[/name], too)

I really love [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is lovely, too, and I love the suggestion of [name]Sylvia[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name].

A few other ideas:

[name]Elena[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Elora[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Olive[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]/[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is both my husband’s and my favorite from the list. It’s the initials that have us wondering if it is an appropriate choice. VD…

I spent five years as a teacher. Those initials make me cringe a bit.

[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is my second favorite. I’m still working on my husband.

[name]Charlotte[/name] is on our list, and since we’re having twins, sibling name possibilities include [name]Philippa[/name], [name]Vivian[/name], [name]Rosamund[/name], and [name]Felicity[/name].

Sorry, double post.

I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! Or how about [name]Ava[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], which would give you the ‘v’ sound you like without the VD initials?

[name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] are my favorites from the list! Here are names that seem similar to those that you listed:
[name]Frederica[/name]
[name]Diana[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Johanna[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Tayler[/name]
[name]Danielle[/name]
[name]Simone[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]

I like these best from your list to pair with [name]Charlotte[/name]:

[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

My favorite is [name]Matilda[/name]!!! It has the same spunkiness as [name]Charlotte[/name]. I’m not sure if your [name]Charlotte[/name] has a nickname, but if she goes by charlie, then [name]Matilda[/name] can be [name]Matty[/name] (both boyish nn), or if [name]Charlotte[/name] is [name]Lola[/name] or [name]Lottie[/name], [name]Matilda[/name] can be [name]Tilda[/name] or [name]Tilly[/name].

Great name choices and good luck!!!

I don’t know what “VD” means, and I’m still in school, so either I’m really sheltered or proof that whatever it is referencing is no longer in the pop culture lingo. In elementary school, I always put all three of my initials on my pencils, crayons, what have you (so here it would be VJD) if that helps. I hardly ever say just my first and last initials. In fact, my sister is trademark ™ and we hardly ever bring that up.
I say go with [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] if you both can agree and both like it. [name]Vivi[/name] is an adorable nn!

I like [name]Vivienne[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] the best. VD initials aren’t the best, but its better than STD which is the more common acronym, at least where I’m from.

I like the combo [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] best!
few more -

[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

I love [name]Josephine[/name] as the middle name! My favorite of your names is also [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] despite creating the initials VD. That is such an outdated term I am not sure if people even use it anymore, I haven’t heard it in years.

[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Meredith[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Gabriela[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Isla[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

Firstly love this style

Hmmm I love all of them so I’m going to be nit picky…
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - Personally I think [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] would work better with [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Helen[/name] as [name]Josephine[/name] sounds really soft and light which is similar to [name]Charlotte[/name]. They both end with a soft ‘e’ sound. Whereas [name]Margaret[/name] has a rather harsh ending that goes better with names like [name]Helen[/name] and [name]Patricia[/name], thus would work in the middle name slot accompanying [name]Helen[/name]. But as [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] I dislike as a potential sibling for [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Helen[/name].

[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - [name]Ah[/name] I love this! [name]Vivienne[/name] is a gorgeous name and this is my favourite spelling, she oozes sophiscation and has a really pretty feel that is similar to [name]Charlotte[/name]. Furthermore [name]Vivienne[/name] has a ready to go middle name of [name]Vivi[/name] which is similar to [name]Lottie[/name]. I love [name]Vivienne[/name] with [name]Josephine[/name] an adorable combination! [name]Even[/name] though I love this combination, [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is a mouthful to some extent.

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is also gorgeous and follows the more fashionable feel of [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Helen[/name]. Furthermore [name]Matilda[/name] oozes strength and has a great meaning that semi links to [name]Charlotte[/name]'s meaning. [name]Matilda[/name] means ‘battle strength’ and [name]Charlotte[/name] means ‘free man’. I like the way the combination flows.

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - [name]Even[/name] though yet again I love this combination, I don’t know whether it works. [name]Audrey[/name] is a classic name similary to [name]Charlotte[/name] but unlike [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Audrey[/name] doesn’t fit the bill of being a fashionable classic like [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Grace[/name]. She also lacks the up beat feel of [name]Charlotte[/name] and doesn’t conjure up associations of the young. However I’m English and [name]Audrey[/name] is rarely used on young people that’s probably why I’m thinking like this.

[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - [name]Louisa[/name] is yet again a gorgeous choice. [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is another combination I love. Jeez girl I just love your style  I love that [name]Louisa[/name] is a feminine variant of [name]Louis[/name] which goes with [name]Charlotte[/name] being a feminine variant of [name]Charles[/name] and ties them together really well. She sounds so fresh and fruity with [name]Josephine[/name]. It’s a lovely combination.

Hmmm my top three:
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

Hard choice xxx

Your daughter has a wonderful name and you have lovely list!

1 [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
2 [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
3 [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

100% agree!
