I am currently expecting my third daughter and have hit a wall in the naming process. Which is strange because when I was pregnant with my two other girls, my husband and I had no problem coming up with names. So here I am! I thought that it might be helpful to have some outside opinions. We aren’t picky people, just no names like “[name]Apple[/name]” or “Vidalia”.
We would also like to have a name that fits with our other daughters names: [name]Violet[/name] [name]Christine[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] ([name]Mia[/name]) [name]Eve[/name].
My only idea is that I love the name [name]Nora[/name] for sentimental reasons (family friend) as a middle name. And I really like the name [name]Antonia[/name], only, there is a problem with it I can’t put my finger on!
[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Annora[/name]? I thought of it since it sort of combines [name]Antonia[/name] and [name]Nora[/name]. I alos think it sounds quite nice with your other girls.
Other ideas that have a similar feel to your daughters’ names:
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]
[name]Verity[/name]
We have a [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] too and I am suspecting we are having another little girl as well. My favourite names so far are [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Paige[/name]. Not sure if you like any of those but seeing as we have similar tastes, I thought I would share my very short list with you so far.
What about using [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Lenore[/name]/[name]Lenora[/name] with the nn [name]Nora[/name]? [name]Violet[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], and [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Violet[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], and [name]Lenore[/name] are both lovely sibsets.
I like the I, E, and L sounds in [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] and think it would be nice to have a sister with one or more of those sounds. Some suggestions with that theme:
I think the double endings of “A” clash. Perhaps [name]Antoinette[/name] [name]Nora[/name]? It still sounds a bit off though to me. I like the above suggestion of [name]Rosalie[/name].
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Christine[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
And
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Nora[/name]
Or maybe…
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Nora[/name]?
Anatolie [name]Nora[/name] (it’s a boy’s name but sounds girly)
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Nora[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Nora[/name]
Wow! Thank all of you for the suggestions! There have been some really great ones. I have to say I agree about “[name]Antonia[/name]” I think that it’s just a little too different from my other girls names to create a good sibset. I love the names [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Madeline[/name], and [name]Eleanor[/name]. My husband came up with the names [name]Vivienne[/name]/[name]Vivian[/name], and [name]Emma[/name]; what do you guys think? While my daughters came up with Taco and [name]Esmeralda[/name]. I think it it safe to say we will not be taking their suggestions too seriously… They would however be extremely happy if we went with [name]Madeline[/name] since it is one of their favorite shows.
Oh! And taylmarl! I can’t believe you have a [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] too! I’ve never “met” another [name]Violet[/name]! Your short list is pretty awesome, I had considered [name]Paige[/name] (my Mom’s middle name) for my first daughter’s middle name but went with [name]Christine[/name] to honor my dad [name]Christopher[/name], and I have a niece named[name] Isla[/name]. Small world!
