Our daughter’s name is [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. We are due with another little girl and can’t settle on a name. We agreed on [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] early on because we just loved it. We like feminine-sounding names. We also liked that it was not in the top 1000. It is not necessary for daughter number 2, but we still prefer something that is not so common. Here is what we are considering, but welcome other suggestions:
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]- too popular? Does it work well on adults?
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
Husband likes [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] too, but I have my reservations. I like [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], and [name_f]Marilla[/name_f], but my husband didn’t.
We recently tossed around the idea of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. We’ll worry about middle names later.
I especially like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] because her paternal grandmother is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. If we end up with one of those, we’ll probably go with my mother’s name as the middle: [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].
I love Daisy! Daisy and Celementine go well together. Daisy is not popular and it works great on adults. My second favoirte is Pearl but I like Perla better. Here are some others you may like.

My name is [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and I personally think it’s a fun, tomboyish name but with a pretty meaning. I used to resent being called this however but now I like it. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is gorgeous, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] work really well. I don’t like [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] as I see it as an old-lady name, and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] for me is the same. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is nice and unusual and would work well with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].

I like the suggestions [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (have long loved [name_f]Stella[/name_f] too but there are too many around here), but I think I still prefer [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. I (over)researched the name and found a site that had people commenting about it being better for dogs/cows and how it didn’t sound good for an adult/professional so I was feeling like I needed more reassurance. Thank you! [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] has been the only combo I have come up with that really makes me smile when I say it. Now I just need to convince my husband that [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is better than [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. He likes those two names best. My daughter wants to name the baby “girl.” I appreciate your input.
The first one I thought of was [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]- which I love with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and would be the name if [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] had a baby [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Have you thought about that one?
Also love [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. I love [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]- it’s in our top 4- but I don think it works with clementine. Too plain for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
Oh also- daisy is NMS at all but definitely works with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]!
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] go nicely together!
Or else…
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Prudence[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Serenity[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
I recently (as in two days ago) met the very first adult [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] I’ve ever encountered. Her actual name is [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f].
Since meeting her, the name has really grown on me, whereas I used to see it as a kind of childish sounding name you’d only hear in story books or something. She has proven to me that the name does actually work on adults.
I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] goes very well with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
Some names I think will go with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]:
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] (diminutive of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f])
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
Wilhemina
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] & [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are the best together in my opinion. I do have reservations about how [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] will age into adulthood but my top name causes me the same concern and I’m committed to it.
I think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] both would also be great with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] both evoke images of orange - [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] flowers and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] oranges. This might be a subtle (or not so subtle) way to link sibling names. I personally wouldn’t because a) I don’t like orange and b) I wouldn’t want to feel I need to pick a similar orange name for future siblings.
I like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. It has a similar country vintage feel. Would you like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] or [name_f]Primrose[/name_f].
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] is a bit of an outlier to me. It’s seems a bit harsh compared to your other names.
I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is lovely with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I can’t see why it wouldn’t age well. It is a vintage gem. Surely it will age better than [name_f]Kelsee[/name_f] or [name_u]Ryley[/name_u].
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is also nice - would you also like: [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is perfect! Such a great combination!
I also like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. So spunky!
