Hello everyone,
I just came up with this (in my opinion) really beautiful combo for twin girls.
What do you think about it?
Are [name_f]Liv[/name_f] & [name_f]Eve[/name_f] better as nicknames or can they work as first names on their own?
Too short? Too ”cute”? Too ”weird”?
Any middle name ideas? Or first name ideas with nicknames [name_f]Liv[/name_f] & [name_f]Eve[/name_f]?
All I can think of are O/[name_f]Livia[/name_f] & [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
I think they are so cute! My personal preference would be to keep them as nicknames but that doesn’t mean they don’t work by themselves!
You could have [name_f]Alivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]! [name_f]Liv[/name_f] could maybe even be short for something like [name_f]Violet[/name_f]? It has all the same letters! Similar are [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
I like both ways, I’m partial to a good long form with a short, chic nickname so I’d lean towards a longer name for [name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. I really like how [name_f]Eve[/name_f] means something like beginning, life or to live and then [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is…well…[name_f]Liv[/name_f] so to me it’s either beginning of life or the matching life associations that’s subtly cute.
[name_f]Liv[/name_f]:
[name_f]Alivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivet[/name_f]
Liviana
Elizavette
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
Lizavetta
[name_f]Livia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] (rearranged letters also spell out TO LIVE so that’s hella cute)
Liveva
Madelieva
Or you could do something like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_u]Vida[/name_u] which has all the letter of [name_f]Liv[/name_f], also [name_u]Vida[/name_u] means life so that’s another connection.
I adore [name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] together (as the full names). It’s cute, but subtle that they both mean life.
I would like to see something longer in the middle:
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
My name is [name_f]Eve[/name_f] on its own without being a nn for anything and it’s always been fine, nobody ever assumes it’s a nickname because it is a widely known name by itself.
For [name_f]Liv[/name_f], I do know someone called [name_f]Liv[/name_f] without a longer name but it’s pronounced Leev the Scandinavian way as it is it’s own name there, not just a nickname for [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]/[name_f]Livia[/name_f]. I like it as a nickname for [name_f]Livia[/name_f] and as a single name.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] could be [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_u]Ever[/name_u], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] etc. but [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is also fine on its own. [name_f]Liv[/name_f] on the other hand is too short for me, perhaps [name_f]Livinia[/name_f] or Liviana as well as the obvious [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Liv[/name_f] are fine on their own, in fact I rather like them, especially [name_f]Liv[/name_f]. They feel complete. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] gives me a fiery, strong vibe, while [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is more quirky and carefree.
I have a niece named ‘just’ [name_f]Liv[/name_f]. My sister is a filmmaker and was inspired to use it after [name_f]Liv[/name_f] Ullman. I think it’s absolutely chic, boho, stunning and beautiful, while also being simple and straightforward. I think using [name_f]Eve[/name_f] as the twin sister’s name perfect if you pronounce it as the word in the phrase: “I live in…” My sister uses the ‘Leev’ pronunciation, so would be too rhymey. If that’s not the case, perfect. [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is beautiful anda glorious and full name on it’s own.
