Livia vs Amara

I’ve gotten great remarks on the name [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f],hubby just shot down [name_f]Amira[/name_f]. I haven’t even mentioned [name_f]Amara[/name_f] cause I love it so much I don’t want to take it off the list. The new name in thinking could work is

[name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

Could really use some opinions and comparisons on these two.

I like [name_f]Livia[/name_f], especially when there are nns like [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_f]Livy[/name_f], [name_f]Vi[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], etc. I’m not that fond of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but I think it works well with the names of your children. [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a very classic combination.

I like [name_f]Amara[/name_f]; I keep wavering on it because of the mara part, but it’s just a personal thing. I think [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] sounds very feminine and sweet with [name_f]Amara[/name_f].

I personally like the name [name_f]Amara[/name_f] and very fond of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and I think it goes well with the names of your other children. [name_f]Livia[/name_f] to me just doesn’t sound right and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is so overused.

I really like both combos! [name_f]Livia[/name_f] feels a bit more traditional and [name_f]Amara[/name_f] a bit more unusual, but I could also see them together. I think I like the rhythm of [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] a bit better than that of [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (but of course depending on the surname, that could easily change).

I’m much fonder of the name Livia (it’s the name of my youngest daughter). I find that the sonority of the name is very beautiful and it also has a lot of history. I’m not a huge fan of Amara, because I once met an Amara who was just so, so full of herself… I also don’t like the sound of it. I feel like it doesn’t have that spark.

Livia Juliet is a lovely name. Livia Charlotte too, but Juliet is my favorite.
Congratulations on your baby and remember, no matter what we say here, it’s the name you love most that matters. Follow your heart!

Both are lovely, but I prefer [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. There’s something soothing and romantic about this name. Familiar yet a bit exotic. I find it quite intriguing. [name_f]Amira[/name_f] and [name_f]Amara[/name_f] may only be one letter apart, but that may make the difference to your husband! I think both are pretty, but I vastly prefer [name_f]Amara[/name_f]. Maybe he will too.

[name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has a much different feel to me, but it is quite pretty and spunky. also a great choice.

[name_f]Livia[/name_f] is pretty, and I think [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] sounds like a very classy and sweet name.

I prefer the name [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]… it has more sparkle to me. Both are lovely names though, you couldn’t go wrong with either.

I love [name_f]Amara[/name_f]! If your husband hates it then you can always use it in the middle as a compromise. [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is lovely too though.

I much prefer [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. It’s really pretty.

Although I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f] seems like it’s missing something.

[name_f]Livia[/name_f] is way prettier than [name_f]Amara[/name_f]. Both [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are beautiful

I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Amara[/name_f]/[name_f]Amira[/name_f], personally (although I like [name_f]Amira[/name_f] more!)–I prefer [name_f]Adara[/name_f]/[name_f]Adaya[/name_f]/[name_f]Adina[/name_f]/[name_f]Adora[/name_f]–and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is one of my least favorite -et names, but [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is really a lovely combo, objectively. I really [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], though! If I wasn’t trying to avoid using [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] in each combo on my list (:)), my [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] combo would be [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [something] (probably [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]), and I love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as well. So [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] seems perfect! And I love it with [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], and [name_u]Joss[/name_u]/[name_m]Joseph[/name_m].

I like @irislenora’s suggestion of [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], as well, but I still like [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] more.

Good luck!

I find [name_f]Amara[/name_f] much more beautiful. There are so many [name_f]Liv[/name_f]/[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]/Olives around now that I think [name_f]Livia[/name_f] might lose some of its distinctiveness, too.

That’s great feedback everyone. I do like [name_f]Amara[/name_f] but it will bug me If mispronounced. And it’s not Hebrew, but it does have a very soft sound that I love. I feel like [name_f]Livia[/name_f] certainly wouldn’t raise any eyebrows and wouldn’t be mispronounced. And it is Hebrew. It sounds very classic which I like. I also love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] but too close in sounds. At last I have two name I really love for this baby. Is funny cause I have lists of favorites but each baby had is own personality i feel right from the start. So while I love [name_f]Talia[/name_f], [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Sari[/name_f] they’re not feeling right at all for this little one. I do think of [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] but it kind of sounds medicinal to me sometimes.

Unfortunately, [name_f]Livia[/name_f] will always look and sound unfinished to me. I do prefer [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] over both [name_f]Amara[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is 10 x prettier than [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - not that [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a bad name whatsoever.

[name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is lovely, but I do prefer [name_f]Amara[/name_f] as a name, and with your other childrens’ names. It just seems like a really great fit.

[name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is gorgeous!
But [name_f]Livia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is prettier.
