I came across this as a name this morning, and thought it was so pretty… I can’t find much info on it… is it a real name? I love [name]Livia[/name], but am concerned that people would always be asking her if it is [name]Olivia[/name]… Liviana sounds more distinctive???
I looked it up–there’s an Italian designer named Liviana Conti, so it’s probably real. 
I prefer [name]Livia[/name], but this is really pretty.
I thought this said [name]Lavinia[/name] at first and I think a lot of people might make the same mistake with Liviana. I don’t know if it’s made up, but it has a made up sound to me and I would rather [name]Lavinia[/name] [name]Ana[/name] or [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Ana[/name] nn Liviana or [name]Livia[/name] or [name]Liv[/name], Livi, whichever you prefer.
[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Livia[/name] would be asked all of her life is her name was [name]Olivia[/name]??? [name]Livia[/name] is a name of it’s own, but with the popularity of [name]Olivia[/name], I am not sure how it would work…
I think people would ask if it was short for [name]Olivia[/name] pretty often. I knew someone who named their daughter [name]Stasia[/name] as in stay-zja and people would always say [name]Anastasia[/name] or ask if her full name was [name]Anastasia[/name].
I read it as [name]Lavinia[/name] at first glance too…which is pretty in a very vintage way.
I do know a 5 year old [name]Livia[/name] who goes by [name]Liv[/name]. I dont really know if I’d choose it over [name]Olivia[/name] (doesnt add anything imo) but to each their own, [name]Liv[/name] is pretty.
Liviana…never met one, but it works for me. You might have some issues w/ people mispronouncing/mistaking it for [name]Lavinia[/name], but the sound is pretty.

The only thing I could find was that this might be a feminine form of a [name]Roman[/name] family name Livianus which means to envy or envious.

I like it a lot! I’ve come across it several times so I always figured it was legit.
I also love [name]Livana[/name], which is a Hebrew name, I believe. Quite similar, but even more distinctive from [name]Olivia[/name], imo.
It is definitely a legit name. Its an old [name]Roman[/name] female name, a form of [name]Livia[/name]. Its one of my personal favorites.
As for [name]Livia[/name], I know a [name]Livia[/name] and she never gets confused for [name]Olivia[/name], believe it or not.
