I voted [name]Lochlan[/name] [name]Elias[/name], I like the meaning and the sound. Second choice was [name]Lochlan[/name] [name]Felix[/name], same reasons. My least favourite would be [name]Patrick[/name], you have some lovely, meaningful choices without resorting to a name you would think of as a filler in some corner of your mind.
Thanks for the input. I think I was a bit nervous about two ‘unusual’ names together. I was wondering what he would go by if he wanted a ‘normal’ name. I guess he could always go by “[name]Eli[/name]” as an adult if [name]Elias[/name] and [name]Lochlan[/name] are both too ‘out there’ for him. Although, I pray he doesn’t think that. I do dearly love the name [name]Lochlan[/name]!
I voted for [name]Lochlan[/name] (I don’t mind this spelling at all!) [name]Elias[/name]!
[name]Lochlan[/name] [name]Elias[/name] is so handsome, and I love the flow. There is also the repetitive L in there for you. I love your reasons for choosing [name]Elias[/name], also!
Ok, since you compromised with the spelling of the name, I think [name]Elias[/name] would be a great mn to honour your Greek heritage. I wouldn’t use another surname or Irish name in the middle spot.
[name]Lochlan[/name] [name]Elias[/name] has the best flow to my ear. I think it sounds fabulous. [name]Felix[/name] would be my second choice, based on your description and connection to the name.
Thank you all! I’m fairly sure it will be [name]Lochlan[/name] [name]Elias[/name] after seeing all of the feedback, I guess it just confirmed what my heart was already feeling, we really love the name [name]Elias[/name] and we shouldn’t be afraid to pair two ‘different’ names together. Although [name]Lochlan[/name] and [name]Elias[/name] are very different kinds of names, they do flow so well together. I love having both names mean something to us and dh is fully on board. And trust me, it’s not easy for both of us to get behind the same first/middle names after we’ve already named four other boys!
We are going to keep [name]Felix[/name], [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Elijah[/name] on our ‘short list’ in case he doesn’t look like a boy who should have the middle name [name]Elias[/name] once he is born.
