My water broke while we were eating at [name]Logan[/name]'s Steakhouse. While [name]Logan[/name] was not even a thought for his name it now seems very fitting. However, it is a style and name I wouldn’t have given a second thought to before. It seems trendy and past its hay day. My DH and family think it was a sign to name him [name]Logan[/name].
Thoughts on the name? This has very much confused things.
I think you should name him something you love and not worry about the fact he isn’t named yet. If there are other names you like more, I would use them. It seems really odd to me that you would consider it a sign to name him something just because you were eating at a restaurant with the name. If you had been eating at [name]McDonald[/name]'s would you call him [name]Ronald[/name]? I don’t know, I’m very much confused by this train of thought.
As far as the name goes, I’ve always quite liked [name]Logan[/name]. I would use it myself if I didn’t know one. It conjures the image of [name]Wolverine[/name] and [name]Hugh[/name] Jackman, which I can’t complain about.
It’s sweet kind of a sweet idea, but you shouldn’t be pressured to name him something you don’t love. I would suggest you try it out, imagine calling him [name]Logan[/name] when he’s 5,10,25 etc. And imagine [name]Logan[/name] with his brother’s and sisters, and [name]Logan[/name] at school. If you find the name doesn’t fit into these situations, don’t use it, or consider it for the middle spot and give him a first name that’s more your style.
We were considering it because his name isn’t chosen yet. We went in with [name]Dominic[/name], [name]Declan[/name], [name]Evan[/name] and [name]Beckett[/name] hoping one would stand out. They are all equally as great still and nothing is standing out. That was the thought behind using [name]Logan[/name].
[name]Logan[/name] is nice, although I don’t know if i’d choose it for that reason.
I really like [name]Declan[/name] and [name]Beckett[/name]. I think if you see a name thats “IT” then you’ll know. Maybe you should keep searching? Try calling the baby each of the different names and see if one just "fits’
[name]Beckett[/name] [name]Logan[/name] would be a cool name!
I really like the name [name]Logan[/name], I’ve liked it for a long time too, if it wasn’t already taken by a close friend, it would be one of my top choices. [name]Dominic[/name], [name]Declan[/name], [name]Evan[/name] and [name]Beckett[/name] are nice names too, but if you aren’t sold on any of those, maybe [name]Logan[/name] is the right choice then!
I like the name [name]Logan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] btw!
Secondly, I don’t think the location where one’s water breaks is a big sign from the universe about the baby’s identity. Otherwise there would be lots of children named “bathtub,” “bed,” and “very inconvenient public place.”
It seems like you’re drawn to names that are a bit more unusual and Celtic/British than [name]Logan[/name] (even though [name]Logan[/name] started off as an Irish name). It might be a bit played out, sure.
Some similar thoughts to [name]Logan[/name], but a bit more rarefied:
I may be a bit biased since this is my son’s name, but I love the name [name]Logan[/name]! We picked his name right before he was born - nothing seemed to “fit” until we came across [name]Logan[/name] on a baby name site. It is spunky, yet still works on an adult.
I like the idea of [name]Logan[/name] as a mn. It will be a great story for your son in the future. If your husband loves it and thinks it’s a sign all the better.
