I actually like [name_f]Lola[/name_f]. I feel like a [name_f]Lola[/name_f] would be artsy, with dark hair. Maybe Spanish? I love the name sound wise, and the meaning really doesn’t bother me (I don’t usually even know meanings).

I think Lola is a great name spunky and has a dark artsy appeal. I don’t have any issue with her meaning for me sorrows isn’t great. But I think the connection to Virgin Mary overrides any negative connotations of sorrows. Personally I picture a Lola being creative with dark hair and green eyes. I think with Lola you need to be careful what middle name you give her. I find combinations like Lola Rose or Lola Grace a bit cheesy. I think Lola needs a strong artsy middle name I think Beatrix meets that criteria.

I think [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is a pretty and stylish name. I’ve always liked it. [name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is beautiful.
As someone who speaks some Spanish, the meaning of [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] does bother me somewhat, but [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is just a nickname for names that contain the sound “lo” and it doesn’t really mean anything, per se.

I like [name_f]Lola[/name_f]. We were actually set on this name for the girl were expecting in a few months but I just didn’t LOVE it enough to make it the one. Also, one of my good friends has a [name_f]Lula[/name_f] and I think it just bothered me that it was so similar. I think it’s a great name though!

I really like [name_f]Lola[/name_f], though personally I prefer it as a nickname (I don’t like [name_f]Dolores[/name_f], I would probably use it as a nn for [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_u]Willow[/name_u] etc) so the meaning doesn’t bother me. Because it wouldn’t be derived from [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] as the full name.
I actually picture this better on a grown women, and to me it’s always had a similar vibe to [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]. Mainly because of the son ‘whatever [name_f]Lola[/name_f] wants’ by [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m]
