Does anyone have experience with the Lollipop brand baby monitors? Currently looking at this one for LO, but not sure if it’s any good or not, and I haven’t got any mum friends who have used it themselves.
Would love to hear if there’s any pros/cons to it and if there’s maybe a better recommendation out there!
Thanks!

Personally, I haven’t used this monitor so I can’t speak on that. However, I did research it quite a bit when looking into baby monitors and a lot of reviews said they had issues with it connecting to the Wifi. That it would just cut out and stop working during the night which would drive me crazy. Definitely check it out on Amazon because there were a lot of reviews on there for it. Maybe even some YouTube video reviews?

I did read the Amazon ones and for [name_f]Canada[/name_f] they seemed to be positive! SIL has a friend who uses it and said she loves it, but I hadn’t heard of it before! I know SIL was between it and another one and says she wished she’d purchased the Lollipop
It’s so hard because there are so many options but a lot of the ones I looked at aren’t available in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]
Make sure you switch the reviews from ‘top review’ to ‘most recent’ and you’ll see a lot of people reporting connectivity issues. However I haven’t actually used this monitor so I can’t really say.
Personally I would advocate for a non wifi based camera as WiFi camera’s are easier to hack (from what I understand). But if you wanted to use the camera to check in on baby when you’re not at home then WiFi would be the way to go.

This is the one we went with because of the price, and we liked that it had a separate monitor so that you could use your phone and still see the baby, and it wasn’t a WiFi camera so felt a little more secure. (While still having a quality screen and sound) we also liked that you could attach multiple cameras to the same monitor, so we could have a camera in both of our girls rooms and only need one monitor OR you could put multiple cameras in the nursery so you can see the whole room.
However while it does display the temperature and it has really good sound and a decent camera, a few things I wish it did have is notifications for temperature, just in case the heat/ac went out in the middle of the night or something and an electronic span so you can scan the room from the monitor. Instead of having to manually move the camera.
So I guess it really depends on what you want out of your monitor. They have fancier monitors that will also monitor things like breathing, babies temperature, movement, noise level etc. Or they have more basic ones that are literally just a camera or some are even just a sound/noise one way walkie talkie type deal. So I would really think about what you think you will use for.

I do prefer a Wifi one for a number of reasons (S/O often works away from home for long hours and would likely want to check in on them too, easier for travel between our families’ homes because we’d use our phones as the screen, etc.) so I think I’ll stick with that route, but maybe I’ll look into one with better connectivity. I have figured out what I want in a monitor, it’s just finding one that matches up to that
