LoLo

What do you think of the nickname LoLo? Is it a useable nickname i.e. “[name_u]Chris[/name_u]” “[name_u]Angie[/name_u]” “[name_u]Kim[/name_u]” or does it sound infantile? Could be a nickname for a variety of names, such as:

Lorena
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_u]Laurel[/name_u]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_u]Willow[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_u]Logan[/name_u]

I think it’s sweet but it doesn’t sound as mature as [name_u]Chris[/name_u], [name_u]Angie[/name_u], or [name_u]Kim[/name_u], for example. I think it would be a cute nickname during childhood but if I were nicknamed LoLo I personally would want to use my full name in my job and save LoLo just for family/good friends.

Another full name for LoLo could be [name_f]Lola[/name_f] or [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Lorena[/name_f], [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] from your list!

I think it’s very cute as an informal nickname. I really like it. It doesn’t sound as professional to me as [name_u]Chris[/name_u] or [name_u]Kim[/name_u] though.

I think it would make a very sweet nickname but I don’t like it on its own

It’s usable but not as serious as [name_u]Chris[/name_u] or [name_u]Angie[/name_u], a more informal one.

Lolo is cute. I think it would be a good nickname for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].

It’s a “cutesy” nickname along the lines of [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. I think it’s totally usable as the short form of something else— here are a few more names that could lend themselves to LoLo as a nickname:

Lois
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] / [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Heloise[/name_f]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_u]Harlow[/name_u]
[name_f]Elora[/name_f]
[name_f]Aloysia[/name_f]
[name_u]Halo[/name_u]
Lobelia
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f]

From your list I also love [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], and [name_u]Willow[/name_u] as options

I’ve had [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] or [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] “[name_f]Lolo[/name_f]” before! I don’t think I’d use [name_f]Lolo[/name_f] outside the house though.

Lolo feels like a nickname between family and friends rather than one she might use at work, but it is a sweet sounding nn.

I love the idea of it as a nn for [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_u]Willow[/name_u]

It definitely sounds like a childhood nickname to me, but that could be related to the fact that I know a [name_f]Laura[/name_f] who went by LoLo as a kid.

Beyond [name_f]Laura[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lora[/name_f]), it could be short for:

Lorraine / Lauraine
[name_f]Lauren[/name_f] / [name_u]Loren[/name_u]
[name_f]Lorena[/name_f] / [name_f]Laurena[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] / [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_u]London[/name_u] / [name_u]Londyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_u]Marlow[/name_u] / [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_u]Harlow[/name_u] / Harlowe
[name_f]Yolanda[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (not as obvious for LoLo)
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] / [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] / [name_f]Alaina[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] / [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] / [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_u]Nicola[/name_u] / [name_u]Nichola[/name_u]
[name_f]Nicolette[/name_f]
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Melodia[/name_f]

I think LoLo is one of those nicknames that can be short for basically anything, as long as it has the strong L sound in it.

I think it works! I know a little girl named [name_f]Lois[/name_f], and we call her [name_f]Lo[/name_f]-ey!
