I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] the nickname [name]Izzie[/name] for a little girl, but the name [name]Isabel[/name] – while lovely – is a bit overused.
Does anyone else have any ideas as to what else it could stand for?

Isannah or maybe Elizabeth? Maybe a stretch but I like it better than Lizzie. Elizabeth is over-used in some people’s opinion though so i don’t know if you would like that one or not. Izzolda…not sure of spelling on that one.

And these might be a stretch, but [name]Izzie[/name] could work as a nickname for…

[name]Isadora[/name] is my absolute favorite for nn [name]Izzie[/name]!
It’s a huge stretch, but I am considering it as a nickname for [name]Iris[/name].
[name]Isadora[/name] may be my fave out of the others suggested. There is also [name]Eliza[/name], which is a stretch as well.
And I know this is the girls’ forum, but I’ve heard it used on a boy named [name]Isaac[/name].
The only other ideas I had that haven’t been mentioned yet are [name]Louisa[/name] and [name]Lisette[/name]/[name]Lizette[/name].
