Long form for Lyra?

Hello berries! [name]How[/name] are you doing today?

I’ve recently found myself falling for the short and sweet [name]Lyra[/name] as a contender for my own name. The only problem I have with it is that it’s a lot shorter than my original name, and thus harder to transfer to without feeling like I’m leaving a part of the name out when it’s said/written.

Can you awesome berries think of any long forms that could work with the nn [name]Lyra[/name]?

Lychorida
Lysandra

I think [name]Lyra[/name] is very pretty on it’s own though.

Lyrical maybe?

I love Lysandra / [name]Lisandra[/name]. Such a unique and non-frivolous choice. Also:

[name]Larissa[/name]
[name]Laurentia[/name]
[name]Lucretia[/name] (though Borgia might own that one)
[name]Leandra[/name] (feminine form of [name]Leander[/name])

And… Illyria, [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s mythical Elysian country.

Bumping!

Lynora
Lyraine

I think that [name]Lyra[/name] is best as it’s own full name. Are you also wanting to change your middle name? Perhaps using both [name]Lyra[/name] and a middle name can help the transition from your current longer name?

[name]Do[/name] you mind me asking what your current name is and if you have any mn ideas?

I would love to see if anyone comes up with some useable suggestions. We’re considering [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Scholze for this baby, but I find that just [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] Scholze is a bit inelegant.

[name_m]How[/name_m] have you been enjoying your new name? What sort of reactions do you get to it?

I think [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] Scholze is a perfectly lovely name

I know it’s a bit of a stretch, but depending on how you are pronouncing [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], perhaps [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]?
