So my hubby has given the ‘ok’ to more names I love and wanted to get your thoughts? DD is violet.
[name]Dahlia[/name] - love! Worry about pronunciation and matchiness with violet. I say it as [name]Doll[/name] yuh or [name]Doll[/name] ee yuh
[name]Autumn[/name] - another nature name but I think this one is fine. So pretty!
[name]Cordelia[/name] - nn [name]Delia[/name]. Wow, dh said ok to this name!!! [name]Long[/name] time fav of
Mine. Absolutely [name]Love[/name] it and it’s uncommon
[name]Daphne[/name] - very cute and pretty.
[name]Eloise[/name] - hubby’s fav but at times I am soooo bored of it ;/. Still cute name
[name]Tessa[/name] - same as [name]Eloise[/name] but very cute!
[name]Clara[/name] - brand new addition! Like a breath of fresh air. Simple and pretty
I like [name]Robby[/name], [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Clara[/name]. I think they sound wonderful together! Very traditional names that flow together!
[name]Robby[/name], [name]Violet[/name], and [name]Cordelia[/name] (nn [name]Delia[/name]), [name]Daphne[/name], or [name]Clara[/name] are my favorites for your sibset. I like [name]Eloise[/name] too, but if you think it’s getting used to much, what about [name]Eliza[/name] instead? [name]Eliza[/name] would work well with your sibset too.
My favorites: [name]Delia[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] (yes, just [name]Delia[/name]). or [name]Daphne[/name] & [name]Violet[/name]. I like the D names with your daughter’s name however I think [name]Dahlia[/name] is too matchy
My fav is [name]Daphne[/name]. It is so pretty! Also, [name]Tessa[/name] is beautiful! [name]Clara[/name] to me is an old lady name. My Aunt [name]Clara[/name] passed away when I was little and she was about 85 back then.
Thanks berries! Yeah I also like Delia all on it’s
Own but i figure I would get the best of both worlds with Cordelia nn Delia since I love both names. Is cordelia too much for my sib set? Love Eliza but doesn’t go with my last name
Eloise is great, still worry about popularity though. Love Tessa! Major top
Contender for us. And Clara is a new one that I really
Like, also getting popular though. And Autumn, probably not a fav with violet then, hmmm. And love Daphne
Too!
Thanks! I think [name]Daphne[/name] is really cute too, love it. Think it’ll get super popular? It’s still very uncommon and not jumping up in popularity like crazy or anything.
[name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] seem to be two other favs on here whodunit great! Any [name]Cordelia[/name] nn [name]Delia[/name] takers? Hehe. Hubby just called from
Work and said he really liked that one. But he’s good with any of the names on this list
I don’t think [name]Daphne[/name] will get super popular if we take the US popularity statistics into account (see below). It seems to go up and down on the chart and hasn’t experienced a great leap in the last few years. Of course, if a major celebrity names a daughter [name]Daphne[/name], my predictions are off (eg. I do predict that the similar [name]Penelope[/name] will increase due to the Kardashian association). I like [name]Daphne[/name] best with [name]Violet[/name] because the two names share a spunky, vintage quality that I find appealing. [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are wonderful with [name]Violet[/name] too!
Thanks so much! I see what you mean about daphne’s popularity. Has gone up an down so seems to be where I want it popular wise. Nobody can predict celeb usage so not gonna worry about it but good point!
[name]Glad[/name] you like [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] as well
[name]Love[/name] [name]Tessa[/name] but not sure that it has that vintage, spunky vibe? [name]Tess[/name] does, and I would use that nn a lot so I think this one works too
[name]Cordelia[/name] - too serious for my sib set? Nn [name]Delia[/name] brightens it up a bit I think
[name]Cordelia[/name] is one of my favourite names ever- sophisticated and feminine yet strong. I love the literary association- it’s hard to find a more flawless character. My second favourite is [name]Autumn[/name]- modern without being trendy. [name]Autumn[/name] [name]Phillips[/name] is well over 30, after all.
My vote is [name]Cordelia[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name]. Autumna and [name]Dahlia[/name] are both way too matchy, and I find [name]Tessa[/name] to be so dated. [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] would go very well too, I just prefer [name]Cordelia[/name]/[name]Eloise[/name].
Thanks girls!! I absolutely agree…dahlia is too matchy and [name]Autumn[/name]
Might be too. What bothers me about [name]Tessa[/name] is that it sounds a lot like
[name]Melissa[/name], [name]Alyssa[/name], ect…so maybe the name [name]Tessa[/name] IS dated??
Well, I looove [name]Cordelia[/name] nn [name]Delia[/name]. Would [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Autumn[/name] be nice?
[name]Daphne[/name] is another name that I think would be just perfect. [name]Adore[/name] it! As well as [name]Eloise[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name] and [name]Clara[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] sounds very cute to me! <3
I also love Cordelia Autumn.
You could also think about Clara Autumn, if you like Clara, or Clara Eloise.
Your style is very cute!!
Good luck and hope I helped a little! <3
[name]Dahlia[/name] - I really like this name and I think it goes well with [name]Violet[/name].
[name]Autumn[/name] - This is one of my favorites. I would only actually use in on a daughter that was born in the fall.
[name]Cordelia[/name] - A long time favorite of mine too. Trying to get my hubby to like it as well.
[name]Daphne[/name] - I like it, but I don’t love it because I hear the word Daft or [name]Daffy[/name] in it.
[name]Eloise[/name] - I really like this name. I live in a french community and for some reason this name was very uncommon (along with [name]Elodie[/name]) and I never understood why.
[name]Tessa[/name] - Not my cup of tea although I do like the sound of it. I know a chihuahua named [name]Tessa[/name] and it kind of ruined the name for me.
[name]Clara[/name] - Another name I have loved for a long time. Sweet and pretty, and a nice change from [name]Claire[/name].
I vote for [name]Autumn[/name] if you have a baby in the fall, or [name]Cordelia[/name] if not!
