DH loves the nn’s [name]Edie[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Elsie[/name], but I feel like she needs a full name first. What could these three be short for?
I always thought that [name]Genevieve[/name] would work to get the nickname [name]Evie[/name]. Have heard that [name]Alice[/name] can sometimes have the nickname [name]Elsie[/name] too.
I love [name]Eden[/name] for [name]Edie[/name]. [name]Evelyn[/name] or [name]Genevieve[/name] for [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Elisabeth[/name] for [name]Elsie[/name].
I love [name]Elsie[/name], but please beware that the [name]Borden[/name] Cow is named [name]Elsie[/name]. You would think no one would notice, but my husband is a teacher and said that the kids have noticed the name on the bottles of glue that are used in the classroom.
I had a friend in college who changed her name to [name]Ellen[/name] because when introduced as [name]Elsie[/name] every person replied, “like the cow?”
I like [name]Edith[/name], but I’m not too [name]Eden[/name]. [name]Edie[/name] also works for [name]Edwina[/name], not sure if anyone has mentioned that already.
[name]Evie[/name] works for lots of names, my favorites being [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Evelina[/name], and [name]Evangeline[/name]. [name]Elsie[/name] works for [name]Elisabeth[/name], [name]Esmeralda[/name], [name]Elspeth[/name], and [name]Elsa[/name].
