When it comes to girls names, I really love longer names that can be shortened (think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]/[name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]/[name_u]Izzy[/name_u], etc.). Pretty much every girl name I fall in love with is in that same category.
I’m looking for boys names with a similar kind of style - something long, with a short nickname possibility. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]/[name_m]Ben[/name_m] and I like [name_m]Ben[/name_m] but not a huge fan of [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] for some reason. I tend to like pretty mainstream, traditional names, basically names that you’ve definitely heard before and are pretty straightforward but I’m open to all suggestions!
There are several that come to mind, but most of them are fairly traditional names ([name_m]Mathew[/name_m] - [name_m]Matt[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] - [name_m]Nate[/name_m], [name_m]William[/name_m] - [name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] - [name_m]Tim[/name_m], [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] - [name_u]Chris[/name_u], etc…)
One that I really like though is [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] - [name_u]Toby[/name_u].
I think [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]/[name_u]Sam[/name_u], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]/[name_u]Cal[/name_u], [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]/[name_m]Vince[/name_m] and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_m]Luc[/name_m] are my favourites from my list

[name_m]Nikolai[/name_m] - [name_u]Nick[/name_u] or [name_u]Niko[/name_u]

I’m surprised no one has mentioned [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] ([name_u]Cal[/name_u]) yet! It’s so handsome! One of my favorites. I’m a nickname person too; for both male and female names. So here are some that I love (I’ll do my best not to repeat):
