I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Hart[/name] as a nickname for a boy. I think it’s strong and soft at the same time. I also think it’s perfect with my son’s name ([name]Dashiell[/name] nn [name]Dash[/name]) and our long-time number one for a second boy ([name]Lincoln[/name] nn [name]Link[/name]). [name]Dash[/name], [name]Link[/name] and [name]Hart[/name] is great, no? Well I don’t want to use [name]Hart[/name] alone, but I’m having a hard time coming up with longer versions that I love.
Hartford- This is the current favorite. [name]Hart[/name] is a surname in my family and [name]Ford[/name] is in his, plus if he doesn’t like [name]Hart[/name] he can be the more mainstream [name]Ford[/name], which I also like and still fits with the 4-letter, 1-sylable, unusual nickname trend we’ve got going.
[name]Hartwell[/name]- something is off about it, not sure what
[name]Hartman[/name]- too much like Cartman from Southpark
Any other suggestions? [name]Do[/name] you think Hartford works or is it too strange?
The combo I like at the moment is Hartford [name]Christopher[/name] [name]Cloud[/name], in order to continue the alliteration theme, as well as the animated character theme, and the pattern of honoring (paternal gf, maternal gf, father in the first middle position). In addition to being a name we really like, [name]Cloud[/name] is actually a family name.
I think Hartford works well some other suggestions
[name]Gerhard[/name]
[name]Harding[/name] (but this could be prone to teasing)
[name]Hardy[/name]
[name]Harland[/name]
[name]Harold[/name]
[name]Richard[/name]
[name]Love[/name] the Hartford. I have a tendency to love names with y’s in them (a little odd I am sure lol) so I really like the suggestion of [name]Hartley[/name]…Good luck. I love your names!!
This one isn’t in the Nameberry database, but maybe [name]Earhart[/name]- as in [name]Amelia[/name]- would work? I think that all of these would work with [name]Christopher[/name] [name]Cloud[/name]…
[name]Hi[/name] [name]Lyndsay[/name]! I really love your idea of Hartford [name]Christopher[/name] [name]Cloud[/name].
I was thinking that another way of reaching the “[name]Hart[/name]” nickname could be to use an H first name with [name]Arthur[/name] in the middle. The H initial plus “art” gives you “[name]Hart[/name].”
I haven’t thought about it much because [name]Link[/name] has been my husband’s favorite for years. I hated it for a long time but have grown to love it. Sometimes I feel pangs of yearning for another name, but at this point I can’t imagine having another boy and not naming him [name]Lincoln[/name]. I don’t think it would be possible to sway him, anyway.
Aw, that’s a great idea, but the [name]Arthur[/name] in my family is not someone I think deserves honoring (he left my great grandmother with 3 kids and never looked back… Though he was from [name]Sicily[/name] so my mom think it was mafia related, haha)
[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Cloud[/name] is ok in the middle? Is it too out there? I know it’s a lot weirder than most of the other names on my for-real-humans-list, but I think it could still work. Tell me the truth now. Haha.

[name]Hi[/name]! Oh, yeah…I’m in total agreement about your [name]Arthur[/name].
I don’t see anything wrong with using [name]Cloud[/name] in the middle! I think it would be pretty out there as a first name, but in the middle, I think it’s a different story. If you’re still unsure, you may also like the surname McCloud.
I really liked the [name]Christopher[/name] [name]Cloud[/name] middle, though! Honestly! You know I’d tell you the truth!
