Either in spelling or syllables, just curious
From my genealogy database, Aramepinchecoue is a form of the Kaskaskian (Illinois) name of [name_f]Marie[/name_f] Rouensa, a young woman who consented to marry a Frenchman her father had chosen (though she despised him) on the advice of a Jesuit priest, so that she might use her influence to convert her father and the tribe to Catholicism. A more precise translation of her native name is longer, but I donβt have it in my database.
