— looking beyond george and john 🌿

I absolutely love [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]John[/name_m] from your list. They feel so steady and warm compared to a lot of modern names, and I think that’s why they stand out to me.

A few names that came to mind whilst reading your post were [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Asa[/name_m], [name_m]Hollis[/name_m], [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], [name_m]Linden[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], [name_m]Orson[/name_m] and [name_m]Winslow[/name_m]. They all give me that same cosy, sunlit, storybook feeling that your girls have. [name_m]Amos[/name_m] especially feels like a little boy running through fields with blackberry-stained hands, and [name_m]Hollis[/name_m] has always felt so gentle and green to me.

I also wonder if you might like names such as [name_m]Alder[/name_m], [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], [name_m]Elwood[/name_m], [name_m]Walden[/name_m], [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], [name_m]Abram[/name_m], [name_m]Joel[/name_m] or [name_m]Jesse[/name_m]. They’re all quite old-fashioned and grounded, but still have that pastoral, slightly literary feel.

Out of your current list, my favourites are [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], [name_m]Augustine[/name_m], [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] and [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f]. [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]John[/name_m] are definitely the stars though. They’re simple, but in a really beautiful way. Sometimes the names that seem “boring” at first are actually the ones with the most substance.

Your girls list is gorgeous too, by the way. [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] are especially lovely together. :herb::white_heart::sheaf_of_rice:
