I’m also in love with [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], kindly suggested by my mother-in-law. We are unable to pick the best combination out of these names, so we definitely need some help.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Celina[/name_f] [name_u]Story[/name_u] - I think they cross between cute and girly and also regal - they’re also really nice combos
[name_f]May[/name_f] I suggest [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] with the nickname [name_u]Ever[/name_u]? It feels regal, girly and playful but also gives you your [name_f]MIL[/name_f]'s suggestion? [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u], [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_u]Story[/name_u] or [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] would all be nice
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] is my favourite from the first list, [name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] or [name_f]Celina[/name_f] [name_u]Story[/name_u] from the second. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is not my style. Good luck!
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] is lovely, regal but playful and sweet.
I’m not keen on [name_u]Ever[/name_u] but what about [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_u]Everly[/name_u]?
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] is my fave, followed by [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] (with [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] is not my style.)
You two actually have a lot in common when it comes to style! I think if you focus on the names that compromise between your tastes, you’ll have a great short list.
First Names:
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] - [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] is lovely, and the nicknames Cressy or [name_m]Sid[/name_m] make it cuter and more wearable.
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] - A big name for a little human. But the nickname [name_u]Tavi[/name_u] is so cute!
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Honora[/name_f] is very regal and also offers the nickname [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
[name_f]Celina[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Selina[/name_f] or [name_f]Selena[/name_f], but [name_f]Celina[/name_f] is nice, as well. Very regal (a goddess!) but also girly and wearable.
[name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] is beautiful, but it’s a lot of name, so that doesn’t really go with your “cute and girly” imagery. Diora is an unusual name and I don’t find it either cute and girly or regal. I would cut this as well.
Middle Name:
[name_u]Fable[/name_u], [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] and [name_u]Story[/name_u] are all in the same category of word names related to books and stories. Since this is such a prominent theme in your lists, I think you should use one of these or a similar name. [name_f]Saga[/name_f]? [name_u]Poet[/name_u]?
[name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] both seem trendier than your other picks and I don’t think they match well with your first name options. [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] fits better, but you both seem to have a propensity for word names in the middle.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and celina seem the most wearable, either complete or with nicknames.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] could be [name_f]Sidda[/name_f], Siddy, Sessy, or CiCi.
[name_f]Celina[/name_f] could be [name_f]Celia[/name_f] (Hispanic pronunciation with short e), or [name_f]Lena[/name_f].
I think all your middle options are whimsical and good choices. Maybe once you choose the first, the middle will fall into place. It’s a great list.
My favorite first names are [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]. My favorite combos are [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] and [name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]. I like the suggestion that you mix and match each of your favorites. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] would be stunning.
There was immediately a name that jumped out at me as a compromise: [name_f]Sonata[/name_f]. It has the type of ending that you favor, as in [name_f]Honora[/name_f] and Diora, and the beginning of [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f]! My favorite combos are [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f], and [name_f]Celina[/name_f] [name_u]Story[/name_u].
