boho but definitely not something new with no background history
easily pronounceable in both French and English (we live in France for now).
it has to go with Liv (M@rlowe Autumn) & Elliott (C@spian August).
The name I’m looking for is:
Liv, Elliott & Everest
Liv, Elliott & Zadig
0voters
Other names we like include Aleph, Arlo, August, Basile, Cézanne, Gustave, Pio, Zephyr. Maybe some of this list would match our criteria better? What do you think?
I like the uniqueness of [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_m]Zadig[/name_m] though I admit I’ve never heard the name. I also am a fan of
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_m]Basile[/name_m]
• I would have added [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] to this but it is simply too popular that I’m inclined to stick it in the middle (Zephyr Arlo) or use it on a girl instead
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] & [name_u]Everest[/name_u] is awesome!
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] & [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] is also beautiful idk if it’d be easy to pronounce [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] in french but i love it
i also think [name_m]Basile[/name_m] (or Basil), [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] & [name_m]Aleph[/name_m] could work great!
I didn’t choose either name from the poll, because I feel like [name_u]Everest[/name_u] is a bit too similar to [name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], while [name_m]Zadig[/name_m] is a bit too different.
From the other options you’re considering, I think these three would make excellent sibsets:
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_u]Basil[/name_u] / [name_m]Basile[/name_m]
I voted for [name_m]Zadig[/name_m], and out of the rest of the names on your list I think [name_m]Aleph[/name_m], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], and [name_u]August[/name_u] are fantastic and suit [name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. [name_m]Gustave[/name_m] is cool too but feels very different to [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], as does [name_m]Aleph[/name_m] is suppose. I really like [name_m]Pio[/name_m] as well but I don’t love that [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] would be the only one in the sibset without a three-letter name. A couple of names I feel would fit based on [name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and on the names you’ve listed are [name_m]Orso[/name_m], [name_m]Bastien[/name_m], [name_m]Elio[/name_m], [name_m]Soren[/name_m], [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_m]Lucien[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_m]Miro[/name_m], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_m]Orson[/name_m].
I like Atlas (not sure if I see this name on one of my children), I love Beau (unwearable in France, sadly), Leon (pronunciation is too different). Forest is associated to Forest Gump. Eden and Remi are nice but too popular. Florian is too close to my name. Lyon is the name of a city in France, it’s also an animal spelled Lion. We are considering Sage as a mn for a girl (Colette Freya Billie Sage). I like Amos, Percival, Echo, Rio, Nova. Thank you!
I love Orso and Soren! Dashiell and Quinn are beautiful but they wouldn’t work easily in France. Elio and Otto are too close to Elliott (I like the nickname Ottie). My husband loves Lucien but I’m not a fan. Plus, my cousin’s name is Lucie. I like Roman and prefer Mirko or Myrrha over Miro. Thank you!
Thank you for all the input I appreciate it. Everest seems to be preferred over Zadig! I love them both, but I just can’t take Zadig off of my mind. The nickname Ziggy would be too cute! I’m just scared that it’s too out there. I don’t want the name to sound strange.

I think [name_m]Zadig[/name_m] nn [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] is cute and if it’s gaining popularity in [name_f]France[/name_f], maybe it wouldn’t seem too out there!?
I don’t know what I was thinking suggesting [name_m]Elio[/name_m] with [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]! I blame lack of sleep (I have a toddler and a four month old).
It’s still rare in France and we are thinking about moving back to the US in a few years That’s why we are looking for something that would work easily (and with the same pronunciation) in both languages.
Haha, no worries! I just have a toddler and she tires me out
How is [name_m]Zadig[/name_m] pronounced? Is it just as it looks? As if so, it might not be too much of an issue? Yes it would be unusual but if easy enough to say that might help…
Also the nn [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] would be very recognisable in the US
Ooh, I really like Liv, Elliott and Arlo!
Arlo feels as fun and youthful as L & E but has a history of usage. Is easily pronounced across Europe and America, feels friendly and relaxed, trendy enough to give it a boho feel but still grounded enough to not feel dated in a few years. It makes me think of a sensitive little boy with lots of mischievous ideas, a smile that lights up the room and sand in his hair
Everest feels both, very close to Elliott and quite modern/trendy rather than boho - I can see him as the latter but then his siblings would have to be Story, Forest and River; Liv and Elliott feel too “normal” to make Everest feel boho to me.
Zadig, on the other hand, feels very out-there next to Liv and Elliott (it also makes me think of Zadig & Voltaire, the fashion brand), though it certainly fits the boho vibe a little more.
Apart from Arlo, I also think August, Basile, Gustave (though I don’t think it sounds as pretty in English), and Pio (though I’ve heard some people say Pia and Pio are too close to pee in English; not something that would come up in French, though).
